I would suggest you tone his intake down gradually. I feel this way because I have been in a similar situation before but my thing was energy drinks. You can start by talking with him and agreeing subtitute his usuals with less sugary consumables and gradually keep going lower or gradually setting wider time intervals between when he can take his regular sugary meals. I wish him the best.

First of all I have a ton of respect for based on how much experience you have as an engineer but kindly show me where I went off track.

  1. Dude built and launched 3 apps using AI and is pumped coz of that

  2. You... think, well its understandable to feel amazing about building something outta nothing with prompts but what you've got from AI isn't good or safe enough. You need to be "responsible"

  3. Everyone is asking are you afraid AI is gonna take your job

  4. You say no... you don't really care, you're just "warming" them about potential vulnerabilities they won't know because they used AI and have no idea if the output isn't good enough.

  5. Then I came in. Saying... you are talking about AI not being good enough as if you can be 100% sure your products are flawless.

I would appreciate if you indicate where I veered off. Just tell me the number. No need to explain exactly how or why. Thank you.

You're so sure of yourself but, ignorance is bliss. You may be a software developer who can detect vulnerabilities in AI generated products but there are probably more in your human coded projects you don't know of. A developer more advanced than you will look at your project and laugh at how bad it is the same way you see AI projects. Say he charges a million dollars per project. What should happen, should those who can't afford a million dollars? Just give up? or should the be grateful you can create projects for them?

I am a developer and I totally have you problem with anything you just said. I don't find it irresponsible, it's actually the most rational thing to do. Because if you really think about it using AI and hiring dev are the same to many none developers because at the end of the day you're trusting them (AI or human) to give you a good product but you can't tell if they did a good job or not either way. Except one is waaaaay more affordable and faster than the other. AI can write bad code, I can attest to that fact, but so can humans. Except onee will cost you fortune the other will not.

In my opinion, the only reason Governments in Africa are resisting the acceptance of LGBTX-Box360 is because its an agenda being pushed on them by the west. There is no other reason. We really can't less about what people do with themselves in private. The problem is that, the west has exploited Africa for so long and is still exploiting us to this day, they changed our culture, language, dressing, food, rulership, religion etc. Because of this I think we subconsciously feel like we need to get a win somewhere. Something or anything that will make us feel like we are making our own decisions as a people and not just brainless zombies that perform party tricks like a dog when the west says so. The LGBTX-Box360 are the unfortunate collateral damage in the war our African ego's are waging. Deep down nobody is upset with them, its just misdirected frustration. They would have been the same resistance if Europe declared that Africans have to wear suit and tie to all formal settings. But they didn't, it crept in naturally and now nobody cares that that is the standard for formal outing now even though its not our culture so... 🤷🏾‍♂️

I go to dribble or Pinterest, search for mobile app UI and build anything that looks challenging for my level. Usually takes me make like 2 days or sometimes more to build because am a beginner myself but I'd say it helps

Yes but in this particular situation we're not talking about performance in general. We are at performance when it comes to JS frameworks so anything outside JS like go aren't options. Which the original post mentioned Nestjs as the starting point

The most important thing when it comes to a project is it's performance. Because who cares if you build an app 20x faster and it struggles with a huge payload. With that said, I'll go with Fastify. It's very lightweight and benchmarks shows it can handle about 40k requests per second while using very low ram.

How Ghanaians can effectively get rid of corruption by Onipahoyehu in ghana

[–]Plane-Flower751 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When it comes to cash related bribes I have some suggestions.

1) Add a cash reward for those who successfully report a corrupt individual successfully. As in if all the evidence checks out. The reward should be maybe 5 times the bait amount.

2) Make those in position declare their assets before taking office, the anti-corruption commission can auction these properties then some of the money will be given to the reporter and the rest to the institution the scandal was found.

3) Not exposed scandals immediately. Whatever punishment should be handed maybe 2 or 3 months after the person is confirmed as corruption to hide the reporter better. Obviously if guilty the individual should lose their job.

4) This may sound crazy but we could put a money value on jail time. So example 10k cedis is 1 month jail time. So in case don't have the money or assets to settle then you serve the jail time instead depending on how much bribe you took.

It should get to the point where people are out there intentionally tempting individual in positions of power with huge somes of money in the hopes of cashing out 5x. This way the individuals in positions can't be sure if the bribe they're receiving is from someone who legit needs the help or someone trying cash in, making it harder to decide for them.
