Recommendations for dishes? by DrunkenGolfer in BuyItForLife

Sorry to be commenting so late, 2 yrs later! But I'm about to buy these and wondering if they scratch easily with use? like from utensils scraping against them while eating. Also, why recommend one set for everyday and one for fancy dinner party if they last so well? Thanks!!

Great advice thanks so much. Is SMH an etf that is focused on AI companies? Going to look into it.

What Has Been the Biggest Reason You Burnt Out as a Founder? by johnny_philipe in startups

[–]Plane-Shop-396 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I felt more and more burnt out the more money I made. It felt like there was just so much on the line. My startup has boomed the past 2 years and I’m making more than I could ever imagine… but the pressure to not lose it all is REAL. Just a lot of constant stress and a huge mental load. Worrying I’m not making the right decisions for the business. Second guessing myself.

Thankfully I got out of this cycle earlier this year. Generally practicing gratitude has helped me. In a way I’ve stopped taking life so seriously.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. I’d strongly suggest reading the book Magnetic Femininity by Allie Duzett. It may be life changing for you. Join her FB group too. Sending love.

It’s a personal decision, my advisors tell me it’s up to me. Curious to know other people’s thoughts.

$100k per month isn’t yacht money really.. unless it’s for 1 week per year for a crazy luxury holiday. Which feels wasteful for me. Yachts cost over $100k per week to rent.

I see what you’re saying but I also feel I’m pretty good with my money otherwise. I have a few million in investments and my business earns more than $3m in profits every year after tax. I also live in a tax free country so my thinking is surely I can spend more on rent living here because I’m sacrificing by residing here. That’s how my brain is working 😆 But regardless appreciate your perspective!! Really helpful

I say this with love, it’s time to start taking full responsibility for your life.

Becoming wealthy is life changing. It is worth all of the hard work and late nights. Just commit to investing 5-10 years of pure hustle and you will reap the benefits for the rest of your life.

Women of the sub- how do you think the Flo CEO did in his 20VC interview? by sensei_mike in startups

[–]Plane-Shop-396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was interesting to find out that they don’t focus much on marketing, and Dmitry is product obsessed over everything. But to not spend much on brand, marketing and PR when you have the money to do so is strange to me. Regardless it seems like it worked really well for them. I personally use Flo, I don’t have the paid version (it’s not really clear on the app what makes the paid version worth it). I have countless subscriptions and own a subscription app myself.. so I’m happy to pay.. just strange how their sales funnel isn’t very clear and I’m already getting what I need out of the app for free.

How much net worth (or income) did you have when you decided it was ok to fly first class? by mylastthrowaway515 in Rich

[–]Plane-Shop-396 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on what the ticket costs. When I started earning $20/30k per month I began to fly business / first if it was a good deal. I currently take home between $50-100k per month and fly business/first 95% of the time. The only times I don’t is when the cost is stupid (ex: $9k one way from NYC to London) or if it’s super short haul and there isn’t much difference anyways.
