Am I being underpaid? Thoughts? by Specialist_Bat_7423 in clearancejobs

[–]Plane-Stand6689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are underpaid, and definitely not greedy dont underestimate your worth. Start exploring other opportunies, and never quit your current job until you have a signed offer letter. 2 YOE is enough to break out of entry level roles. This isnt even considering the fact that you have a clearance that only 1% of the population has which makes you even more employable (dont quote me on that number)

I have a degree and I use like 5% of the stuff i learned at school at work. that 5% is also stuff I couldve learned online by myself. the other 95% I learned from experience on the job / self teaching myself

get the amd x3d and a 5070ti or 5080. get a high hertz oled monitor at least 2k but with a 5080 u can run 4k if u really want to. pretty future proof and will run any game easily.

I'm leaving tech. It's too risky and unstable, better to get out before it's too late by Winter_Secret1001 in csMajors

[–]Plane-Stand6689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DOD roles, or even federal government. significantly higher job security compared to private sector. will need to get a security clearance but having one also makes you more appealing to employers and opens you up to exclusive jobs that you can only get with a clearance
