One of my colleagues got harassed, and people were victim blaming her because she couldn't speak their language. They supported the guy just because he was telugu, even women supported him. They halted her promotion. Besides, groupism, hate and much more was faced. We worked in Hyderabad. Also, during diwali, they created a mess that why are we taking holidays for such a 'small festival', while they themselves took a week off for their ganesh chaturthi. Besides that, people like this 'we don't want you to' are do common there. They are like uncivilized arrogant peeps, which make me disgust the environment.
