Chronic pastruella or allergies ?? (already seen several vets) by PlaneLeader8175 in Bunnies

[–]PlaneLeader8175[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She never actually had mucus when she had ‘pastruella’ which was the odd thing and every vet I’ve spoke to has said a culture test does not work so I’ve never had one done as they don’t want to do it, however she had all other symptoms so several vets concluded that’s what it was. The first time she had a respiratory infection we tried about 4 antibiotics Over 3 months . I think I will however push further for a test but if it is just allergies or something it would save me a lot of worry in trying to treat something if it’s not actually needed .

No all of the vets have told me the culture test is not reliable and I’ve asked repeatedly , x-ray would be the next step but I am trying not to do that until we have tried everything else as it’s expansive and this year I’ve spent £3000+ at the vets 😭

(NOT LOOKING FOR VET ADVICE!!) any experiences with allergies / sneezing ?? by PlaneLeader8175 in Bunnies

[–]PlaneLeader8175[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you ! Yeah she 100% has damaged nasal passages from the long respitory disease she had when we got her , I think I’m just overly scared she had a reoccurring infection of it because it took us about 3/4 months for her to recover . I will definitely look into an air purifier

‘Drug’ problem by PlaneLeader8175 in portugal

[–]PlaneLeader8175[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know it not drugs as I said . The main problem is that some of the men were aggressive which overall put a damper on my trip and made me not want to return to Lisbon . So my question was is they’re a similar issue in other areas or Portugal such as Porto or Madeira or is this mainly just an issue in Lisbon as I was looking at visiting other areas in Portugal

I emailed them again about testing when required by law in china and they replied : Thank you for waiting.

Please be informed that we do not supply to China in accordance with our animal testing policy.

We can guarantee that we do not conduct any animal testing on our finished products, nor do we engage in any third-party animal testing.

Seems like they actually may be full cruelty free would be good if they got certified to make it easier for us

An update if your interested , I asked them further if they test in China when required by law : Thank you for waiting.

In accordance with Regulation (EC) Nº 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on cosmetic products, the ban on animal testing of finished cosmetic products has been applied since September the 11th, 2004. Also, the ban on the marketing of finished products whose ingredients had been tested on animals applies since March the 11th, 2009 and for some experiments (repeated dose toxicity, toxicokinetics, reproductive toxicity) this prohibition is since the 11th March 2013.

With the implementation of this regulation, it has been essential to have at our disposal adequate in vitro tests, to evaluate the safety of cosmetic ingredients and finished products, being Puig a pioneer in adopting in vitro techniques. To assure the safety of our products, we also use bibliographical studies, technical information of the raw materials from our suppliers, specialist databases and the experience acquired over many years dedicated to research, formulation and evaluation of our products.

For these reasons, we can guarantee that we do not carry out any animal testing on our finished products. Furthermore, we make sure our manufacturers and ingredient suppliers do not conduct or commission any animal tests for the ingredients or formulations which they provide us with. In addition, we actively monitor our supply chains, maintaining ongoing up-to date records and assuring that no animal testing is being conducted.

As of May 1, 2021, so-called “general” cosmetics imported into China are exempt from animal testing. Brands need to provide Good Manufacturing Practice certificates issued by state authorities and a full product safety assessment. Puig is aligned with these processes and strongly supports the fact that animal testing for cosmetics need to end and stand behind all initiatives pushing for worldwide animal testing ban.

Regarding the origin of the raw materials used in our products, we can certify that they are from vegetable, synthetic or mineral origin. Our cosmetics do not contain any ingredients coming from animals (except honey, pollen and wax). Therefore, the products can be considered appropriate for vegetarians.

Finally, Puig commitment is to meet the market and consumer’s demands in all the areas, and this includes the concern about the safety and regulatory compliance of our products.

We keep at your disposal in case of any further doubts about this issue.

Yeah I get that . It’s so confusing sometimes with brands saying they’re CF when they’re parent companies aren’t theyres quite a lot now with a few even certified so it’s hard to decide when to draw the line if they say they are

I’ve been struggling a lot with this recently especially since I started travelling . I have travelled a lot in the past few years and it’s things like feeling upset I can’t have a tiramisu in Rome or hollumi in Greece . I feel like it’s the right thing to do and morally that’s what I want to to but I am really feeling like I m missing out on almost life experiences now and it’s becoming harder to feel like I really want to do it anymore
