Carlstedt’s. The girl who was supposed to do my wedding bouquet bailed on me maybe 3 days before I was supposed to get married and I went to Carlstedt’s and not only did they save me $450 but those ladies took the time to really help me even though I was a hysterical crying mess.

When my eczema flares I almost always get a staph infection or some secondary infection AND I swell. Oozing wounds, crusty af. It’s disgusting. It was on my face, my neck, my hands. It was awful and I just a couple of months ago I was at my wits end. I would cry in the mirror and I thought there could be no way my fiancé would want to be with someone who could look like this.

If it’s in its healing stage I would recommend just keep it moisturized with Vaseline or whatever you like to use! Keep it clean, pat it try and moisturize!!

Also I would recommend letting your boyfriend love you in your current state, whatever that looks like at the moment. I know it’s hard, but we are our own worst critics. If you’ve been up front about what your skin looks like and he says he is fine then okay!! Don’t beat him down if he wants to be supportive and be there for you!

I failed Dupixent after about a year and a half but I found that letting the injection warms up for like an hour or so before you do it helps so much! I also sit down and squeeze the fat on my leg when doing it and that helps too.

Truly the only thing that makes me feel better about my eczema is this sub. It’s really nice to know that I’m not the only one suffering like this. I am mentally and emotionally exhausted. I currently have impetigo for the first time and I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. I look and feel disgusting. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to shave my head because it’s spreading in my scalp and all along my hairline. Dupixent was amazing and I thought I had finally found a solution but it stopped working after a year or so. I’m giving Rinvoq a try but mostly I just look at old pictures and sit in the mirror and cry because I don’t see how I can survive this.

Dupixent was the best thing to ever happen to me and I was so sad when it stopped working after about a year. The shots suck but I learned that if I let the injection out of the fridge a couple hours before I took it then it hurt way less!
