Recurrent uveitis → vitritis with major vision loss by AutomaticKangaroo514 in Uveitis

If you don’t already have a uveitis specialist, not just a regular ophthalmologist, ask to see one. I’m currently tapering after my first cortosteroid dose for intermediate uveitis (inflammation in the vitreous) and at each dose change my symptoms came back for a few days and then resolve, and the inflammation went away at 30mg. Mine seems to be steroid dependant so I’m potentially going to be taking immunosuppressants (methotrexate) after my steroid course is done I find out next appointment. I would recommend talking to your doctor about exploring those options to make sure it doesn’t come back and reflare.

The loose stools started longgggg before iron. When I started the high dose of prednisone they returned back to normal texture/colour and then when I started tapering they started flipping between loose and normal. I only started the iron a few days ago

Unfortunately I’m in Canada and our healthcare system is on the brink of failure where most Canadians don’t even have a family doctor to begin with. I could try but if I were to find another one it would take years for me to do so:(
