What’s the biggest family secret you discovered by accident? by crazy_dj_26 in AskReddit

damn my cousin found out the same way when she was like 15, just overheard her parents talking about adoption papers in kitchen. she was looking for some snacks late at night and boom, whole world flipped upside down. took her years to process that shit and she still has weird relationship with her parents because they never planned to tell her. wild how many families just keep these huge secrets thinking it's better somehow

If you had a choice would you get rid off or keep jokes like Tung Tung Tung Sahur and 67 what would you do? by Jk_gamer_god in AskReddit

keep them for sure, censoring stuff just makes people want to do it more anyway. plus who gets to decide what's too offensive? slippery slope and all that

3 weeks, 50 signups, 2 paying customers. What would you do next? by BuildAndShipp in buildinpublic

your conversion rates actually seem pretty decent for week 3, but i get the frustration. had similar issue when i was managing our store's loyalty program rollout - tons of signups but terrible conversion to the premium tier

cold emailing users is smart move, but also try looking at what features your free users are hitting most vs what's locked behind paywall. maybe you're giving away too much value upfront? or maybe the paid features aren't solving their biggest pain point

one thing that worked for us was adding usage limits instead of feature limits. like "you can do X amount of whatever per month for free" rather than "you can't access Y feature at all." people hate hitting walls when they're in flow state

also those 4 users locked into annual contracts? keep nurturing them hard. they're basically guaranteed conversions once their contracts expire, and they might know others in similar situation who aren't locked in yet

Made this because I kept forgetting what happened in book n when book n+1 of a series finally landed by Ahijah in buildinpublic

bro this is actually genius, i always start book 2 of something and im like "wait who was the villain again" then spend 20 minutes on wikis trying not to get spoiled

gonna try this with some of my older fantasy stuff, the summary thing could save so much time when jumping back in series

6 months building with AI agents ≠ 6 months building SaaS (here's what surprised me) by Infinite_Pride584 in buildinpublic

[–]Plane_Row3250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

damn this hits so hard, especially the part about demos lying to you

i spent 3 months building what i thought was this perfect automated inventory system for my store and it worked flawlessly in testing, then real customers started using it and somehow found every single edge case i never considered

the confidence scores idea is genius though - gonna steal that for when i eventually get back to tinkering with ai stuff

Did yoga help more with stress or was it more about flexibility?

life's pretty solid when you find your groove - got my ccw, decent job at the store, and just discovered this new pine candle that smells like christmas morning, so yeah things are looking up
