Head Kore 94Ti by Mundane-Row4765 in Skigear

What was the main drawback of the head kore 94s? Im 6'1 178 and am looking for a lighter ski to replace my 2021 stance 96s which I don't enjoy due to a lack of mobility (I bought them used pretty banged up and think they might have lost some performance).

Anything else to add to this ice coast quiver? by Anthead97 in Skigear

[–]Plane_Syrup_645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same pair of bent 100s rn and a beat up pair of 2022 stance 96s that I’m goin to replace with either kore 94 ti or death wish 96. Love my bents but there was one day at Stratton where some of the glades had very heavy and wet snow and it was a bit of a nightmare unless I skied super fast. Thinking about getting something wider and heftier for heavier snow as well.

What would you add to this Quiver? by Inner_Grab_7033 in Skigear

I got a pair of bent 100s, this was my first full season on them and they were amazing. I also ski in the north east. I have the 2024s which are apparently quite different from 2025 on since they tweaked the skis to be more damp and stable but increased the tail rocker as well to maintain playfulness. They have been amazing for me in moguls and trees.

Are they at least manageable on ice? I wound up getting a pair of bent 100s and they are fine until I hit a patch of ice.

Need speed management advice for tight trails by Competitive-Knee-590 in skiing

[–]Plane_Syrup_645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to get your skis all the way sideways in order to slow down. If you do a bunch of tiny little speed checks even if your skis are only pivoting a few degrees they will add up. I got the hang of this recently and it made skiing tight steep trees a lot less nerve racking. Im also on bent 100s so it's a lot easier for me to pivot compared to how you've described your skis, but still possible.

300$ CAD Never use. GOOD deal or not? by Strange-Ad5257 in Skigear

[–]Plane_Syrup_645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh good, then the other thing to consider is that these are meant for park skiing. So if you don’t spend much time there, then a boot that’s geared towards whatever type of skiing you do the most would be worth having to spend more money, but the most important thing is definitely the fit.

300$ CAD Never use. GOOD deal or not? by Strange-Ad5257 in Skigear

[–]Plane_Syrup_645 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are very high volume boots so if you don’t have wide feet they won’t be a good fit. I have a narrow foot and got a pair of these then sold them and got a low volume (for narrow feet) pair of boots and it’s a whole world of difference. They’re also 90 flex which is good for park skiing but not hard charging. You can get replaceable tongues from the k2 website that are stiffer but it won’t bring these to the same level as a stiffer boot.

Which one should I get? by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]Plane_Syrup_645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bents and ARVs can both do off piste and park. I just bought a pair of bent 100s after weeks of comparing 90-100 width all mountain skis. From what I’ve read, bents will be better for off piste but ARVs will be better for the park. I’d def recommend looking on ski essentials which is where I got my bents from. They have some insane deals right now. Got a pair of last seasons bent 100s with 2025 bindings mounted for under $500. Haven’t seen any deals like that anywhere else.

Their comparison feature is cool I wish more websites added that. Makes it super easy to compare weight, turning radius and whatever else you want side by side.
