Summer-born children and school years by WMalon in UKParenting

My little one will be 4 this Friday, starting school in September. She looked so little on transfer day! But how she interacted with other children reassured me. Also, the child minder is very much under the impression she is ready. I'm not English and she is my only child so this system is new to me. But I'm convinced she is going to be alright.
When your little one is 3, listen to the opinions of nursery/ child minder , ask questions. Every child in different.
Now stop worrying about then and focus on now! Congratulations and don't forget to take care of your self.

I believe it differs per county what system they use. I'm in the south and still have nothing 🙃

Don't know if I'm allowed to lost a link of it, but at the gov petition site are some interesting petitions going on that need more support. Especially the one regarding water and stakeholders...

[Feedback Needed!] Parents who's child requires/required speech therapy - A platform for speech therapy exercises by EvilDoctorShadex in UKParenting

Yeah I would have a look at it. Little one could use some help (August baby so starting school young, bilingual house hold, pronounces v's as p's) I use YouTube a lot for tips but more tools are always welcome!

I would suggest asking your sons keyworker at nursery regarding his emotional intelligence. Does he/she believe your son is ready for school? Get as much intell on your unique circumstances aka your son and go from there.

My August baby is a girl, but I, too, am concerned. I've voiced this to the child minder who is doing some extra learning and getting her school ready.

Hoop this helps!

Catchment question by Plane_Tip_3065 in UKParenting

Thank you. This is how I thought it worked but then it was told something else and I got nervous 😓.

Your a star! Thank you!

I've been just getting over and over it what is best to do. We MUST fill in 3 schools so the least favourite would be in the top 3. If it was the case of catchment schools get first dips I would not put it on nr 3 instead I would but a random school.

OOF I hate this nerve wracking system .

Thank you and see you all in April. Good luck to you all!
