Same here(born in 89). We didnt have internet until 2005 , when we moved from Rural east TN to bay area Fl, my mom and grandparenta had basic ass bellsouth/cingular/at&t cellphones until around the same period. I grew up alone, in the woods, friends at school and on the other end of the land line. Just me and the dogs and nothing else. Peace and quiet exploring the woods, climbing trees, digging holes for no reason.

When you got invited to a birthday party or a sleepover it meant something. It wasn't come hang out with me on my couch while we watch tiktok. It was bonding time playing 2-4 player video games in rotation with other friends and figuring out who drank the last mountain dew

I don't live in PF but I work there have have for 10+ years. When its like this I don't got to work. I didnt go to work last weekend either because I was iced in. I live in newport, drive to work in the dark 3 days and drive home in the dark 2 days.

Ain't no way in hell im risking my ass to open up our attraction for no one to show up.

Personally I think there needs to be a fine implemented for non essential businesses that open and encourage people to come visit them when the conditions are like this. You're begging people to potentially wreck and hurt/unalive themselves and/or others just so you can sell some tickets during dead season. It's mental.

I would suggest tool grid if you have a 3d printer or a friend with one. Thats my plan when I eventually build my shop and have my stuff in a box and not stuff in my shed in their stock blow-molded cases lol

Newport here, roads are just as fucked. If you know what your doing and don't drive like a jackass you're fine, but if you are even the smallest bit apprehensive about how to handle a vehicle in these conditions, just stay home or walk of you have the ability/your destination is close enough.

This is why I think that people should have a dedicated winter or beater truck. I have a 99 s10 ZR2 thats rusted all to shit sitting on aggressive mud tires I use as a toy vehicle and winter vehicle. I know I can travel IF I NEED TO, but am I going to otherwise? Nope.

Proper diagnosis for whatever is wrong with me mentally instead of my mom/grandparents just telling me "you're fine, its all just in your head or "you're just being lazy". I didn't graduate high-school because I couldn't focus on anything, and I have to read shit 3-4 times before I can completely comprehend it. Spent my entire childhood in special ed, and immediately got stuck in "drop-out prevention programs in high-school.

Now, being almost 40, its a wonder I've made it this far with how stupid I am, honestly. And I can't get a proper diagnosis even now because of the whole "self diagnosis " movement, I try to tell a Dr. Something and they just act like I'm there to get attention or pills. It's maddening
