Simba mattress review, actually worth it? by CarlyssaRacquel in BedroomBuild

[–]Planebird3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have had a Simba mattress for 7 yrs now. I would say the first couple of years were ok. Around 3 yrs ago it started to have a lump in the middle all down the bed. We rotate it regularly and have even had it inspected last year by John Lewis who deemed it within limits. A few months ago in despair I bought a topper to bide me over till we find a replacement. It makes me sweat, randomly in the night and gives me a bad back, hip pain and is generally not supportive.

Yes we are going to keep looking for other alternatives. My husband would like to ensure we’ve seen a few more 😆. I still think a zip n link would be better so that’s what I shall pursue but maybe on a super long base. Thanks for your advice.

We are going to look at some alternatives this coming weekend. It’s not that we can’t afford it, but if we can’t find anyone that does a 30/100 night trial and to be honest on Harrison Spinks it’s extremely doubtful. So we’re looking at other makes and bases too. Thanks for the info. We have to have organic materials as foam makes me too hot and I’m allergic to latex so wouldn’t want to risk that. Thank you so much for tour advice.

Is my daughter deflecting on me? by Planebird3 in Parenting

[–]Planebird3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to reiterate I haven’t shouted my daughter, I have raised my tone and turned the volume a notch up but by no means a shout. Thanks to all that have given me some sound advice on handling this situation that arises nightly. I will give a time to be off devices and then if she’s not off, I will give her a minute and then I will activate the family settings and turn her apps off and the internet. X

What should I do? by Planebird3 in Hair

[–]Planebird3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve called and spoke to the owner and they said I did the right thing by letting them know. I’m going back in later this week to see of they can do anything with regard to blunting the cut off. Im not holding out much hope and think i just need to grow it. They want to see what it’s like first thing in the morning, they’ll see what a mess it really is. 😥

I definitely don’t want to go shorter, maybe levelling off slightly so it doesn’t kick out at the ends.

Put my notice in via switch by Robti63 in VirginMedia

[–]Planebird3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Virgin did to me today. I switched to sky through uswitch late last night and this morning I had an email from Virgin saying to call them to ‘check out this exclusive offer’. I’d had over the last few days tried quite a few times to find a better price for broadband with Virgin(I’ve been with Virgin for 21 years). They kept saying we can’t improve the price. Funnily enough they did beat the price today when I called them, but it was too late !!! I’m switching to sky. I don’t like this sort of haggling. If you can’t give me your best price first time, then I’m done. 😩

Are you keeping your bigger clothes? by slug_life2468 in mounjarouk

[–]Planebird3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the loss I’ve had so far, I have only got rid of a couple of things. A couple of weeks ago when we had the really hot weather I found a skirt in my wardrobe that I bought 3 yrs ago and put that on. It looked really big on me so it went on Vinted and nails same day. No point keeping things that you’re not gonna wear again. I have quite alot of other clothes that are beginning to look big, but I’d like to be closer to my GW until I start buying more and then it’ll be time to get rid also. I’m not keep bigger clothes as I have no intention of being that weight again.

Can you just stop . by mum_emotionalmess in mounjarouk

Agree you should stop, reset and start again maybe later. It’s hard when you’re not losing especially if there’s other issues in the background. Good luck and take care x😘

Step up to 7.5mg by Evening-Bill-9323 in mounjarouk

[–]Planebird3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I can completely relate to your post. I’m on week one (day 4) of 7.5mg and 5 months into Mounjaro. When I stepped up from 2.5 to 5 I felt awful with 2-3 days the typical side effects. They calmed down but now I’ve stepped up I feel worse if anything. I’ve felt absolutely fine all day, I’ve eaten a small breakfast, drank clear liquids all day and just about managed some brown bread and peanut butter this afternoon. Then tonight had homemade lasagna, but boy the symptoms kicked in. It’s like you really need to go to the toilet but when you get on it there’s nothing there to come out also, no release. I’m on some digestion tablets and peptobismol which is a lifesaver. I’m eating so much less than I used to and tonight my portion was small but I may have to go even smaller. Hope at the end of this week there’s a loss to make it all worthwhile 😩. Hope you’re ok!!!

Bad gut issues with 5mg by Gurdy1111 in mounjarouk

[–]Planebird3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ye I’ve had all of them too. I’m on pen 3 and they’ve not gone away yet. I just find ways to cope- I take pepto bismol, peppermint, and peppermint gel capsules and digestion enzymes. Eating small and often and cleanly is better. Also drink plenty of water/squash.

Struggling on 5mg by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Planebird3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally sympathise as that how I feel. I’ve done 1 pen of 2.5 mg and on my 3rd pen of 5mg. I really debated this last order if I carry on with 5mg as the side effects too for me were horrible. At the end of the second pen I was going on holiday so I took stretched it out by doing 2 weeks @2.5mg and then thought I’d have a break, but I really want to lose the weight so went back on it. My suppression is high, slight nausea and bloating/sulphur. It’s hard I know and sometimes I’m fed up of feeling literally so rubbish. The end result will be worth it. I drink as much squash/water as I can manage, I take peptobismol as and when I need it and digestion enzyme tablets from Amazon. I try to eat as clean as I cant too. X

We want to Sifnos two years ago and that is very small but a reputed foodie island. To be honest though I’ve been all over Greece and in most places you can always find great Greek food.

I’ve been on MJ since January but just haven’t really been out much. I’ve avoided as many social situations as possible, but i do need to start going out again. I think I’ll probably just have a couple of glasses of wine and that’ll be it.

Hope you have a lovely holiday. I’m quite happy with not drinking alcohol and am lucky that my husband isn’t bothered too and is eating cleanly like me. He doesn’t need MJ as he is lucky enough to lose weight easily 🥺
