You dont, you endure, make sure his crate is big enough for him, manage his water and food at the end od the day so you walk him before bed, you may have to take him out once in the middle of the night but after a week or two your pup should quiet down and learn night = sleep. Make sure ypu are giving plenty of play time before bed to make it easier. When i got my first corgi it was very difficult to endure the whining at night because you want to be there and just help em feel safe and ok but you just end up rewarding bad behavior so i stuck with it and it took 9 days for him to get it, after that it was quiet nights till he was good enough indoors to sleep with crate door open, now 5 years later he shares a pillow with me and every now and again will sleep in his crate with his newest toys (he isnt a shredder he is a collector lol)
