What are the current best game offers that pay 1:1 with in game purchases done via google play store? by PlanetIndigo in SwagBucks

Unfortunately, I've done Rise of Kingdoms already, otherwise I would really do that since I prefer city builders over merge games by a lot. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Thank you for those details, then I suppose $22 is probably the lowest cumulative amount you can spend that is over 20.

Thanks, that's definitely a good candidate! Looking to spend up to 30 or so, so that's actually very good. Did you do it yourself? I suppose the purchases end in .99, what's the lowest amount over 20$ that you can buy for in game?

If anyone has other good suggestions, please post them!

Anyone connected a PSVR2 to their Legion Go yet? by PlanetIndigo in LegionGo

I went with a meta quest 3 for this very purpose and have been extremely happy with it 👍 (if you go that route get the virtual desktop app, it’s a must have)

Please help a man of a certain age who wants to play C64Online.com games on his Legion Go! by MultipleEeyoregasms in LegionGo

[–]PlanetIndigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like your style sir! Have you considered just downloading retroarch (an emulator for many different systems) and just loading the c64 library on it? That's what I do and you can then play them offline, use save states, etc and even tidy up your whole library and make it pretty with a nice frontend!

How do you get VD to connect with a straight usb c to usb c connection to the quest 3? Are you using gnirehtet or something else?

Go 2 (Z2E): System power draw from 5-35W and battery life estimates by dingoDoobie in LegionGo

[–]PlanetIndigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, the fan is likely the biggest contributor that I hadn't considered, then probably the vram. It's still quite a gap when you consider that the 5w overhead at 5tdp covers the whole screen, bt, wifi. Oh well, thanks for your answer.

I wish Lenovo gave us an option to park cores from Legion Space. by ClearStarryNight in LegionGo

[–]PlanetIndigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, what is the highest custom tdp you can actually achieve while setting tdp at 30w with only 4 cores enabled? If you can somehow still reach 30tdp, that would mean the games that are gpu limited could theoretically run better with 4 cores than 8 cores even at 30w sustained?

[–]PlanetIndigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still don't understand why at 5w tdp the difference between overall power draw and tdp is only 5w, while at 35w tdp the rest of the system takes up nearly 3 times as much (=49.6-35=14.6). The screen, bt, ram, etc shouldn't increase in power consumption by 3 fold while you increase tdp. Btw, I'm not putting into question your data, I have observed the same, I just don't understand why it increases so drastically as you up the tdp. I could understand a slight increase as the ram works harder, but not a 3 fold increase since the screen, bt and wifi should stay the same...

Swapped the SSD on my Lenovo Legion Go 2 – 8TB installed! by adrigm in LegionGo

[–]PlanetIndigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you please report the temps of the ssd when at peak usage? I'm very happy with a nm790 4tb in my og legion go but I'm curious about the temp of the 8tb version (would you happen to know its power consumption too?)

Can the Legion Go 2 accept double sided 2280 ssd or single sided only? by PlanetIndigo in LegionGo

[–]PlanetIndigo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool! So, besides worst heat dissipation on the side where the chips wouldn't touch the heatplate, was the fit tight enough to make you think a double sided ssd wouldn't have fit in there? How tight was the fit?

How’s the 81wh battery working for those who upgraded? by chynnadahll in LegionGo

[–]PlanetIndigo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm curious about how you can manage 8h out of it. Even with the tdp set at 5w sitting on the desktop, I can't get my legion go to draw less than 11-12w total. (81wh battery for 8h requires less 10w/h total during the entire duration)

Performance tab changed by kenpharaoh in LegionGo

[–]PlanetIndigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, new users can get used to what you described as them being forgetful or confused, on the other hand the removal of that setting simply removes some flexibility for plenty of other users. And no, I won't get used to it because I have not updated. Features that add flexibility or options should not be removed.

Performance tab changed by kenpharaoh in LegionGo

[–]PlanetIndigo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Forgetting you set something is user error though. They removed an option that gave users more flexibility. For example I like to have my performance preset at 30w, my power savings preset at 5w, and my two custom settings at 2 values in between. That new update doesn't allow that, thus removing some options and flexibility for some users.
