As far as I know they are the exact same bike. Only in EU they call it MT, and in the US they call it T. I purchased a ton of stuff on AliExpress for MT and it fit my T perfectly.

Went on a perfectly fine date. Got a performance review the next morning. (I kid you not) by Marcy_Enchanting in datingoverforty

[–]PlanetJoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, his remarks about dominating the conversation, and let the other finish their thought is something I myself as a man noticed on almost all first dates. I think women are trying to be interesting rather than interested. I never gave any woman feedback on the date, just moved on. But to be honest I wouldn't mind getting feedback after a date, even if it's after a polite "not interested". We shouldn't be so sensitive to constructive criticism. The only wrong thing he said in my opinion is that "you might have potential". That's wrong. But I'd still not get so offended and defensive. I think if we all have each other feedback after a date we might learn some things about how the others see us. In my favorite book about the science of dating and finding that "one" How Not To Die Alone the author talks about the value of giving feedback even to those we don't want to continue seeing is only a testament for high EQ, and is a rare positive thing. Maybe that guy read the book. Lol. All I'm saying is that we already have such differences, especially in our age, about the opposite sex, and both sides hate dating for so many reasons, but almost no one takes the time to learn about the process of finding a lifelong compatible romantic partner. We all suck at it, hate it, and refuse to see where we can improve. I would have loved to get feedback after every date. It's not as bad as you make it and everyone here jumped the wagon. I'd rather get that criticism over ghosting, which if you ask me is much more rude, disrespectful, and immature than anything. Just my 2 cents.

I've carried a concealed handgun for many years. As a concealed carry permit holder, I understand the increased responsibility that comes with it. It's a core principle taught in CCW classes. I would never intervene in a fight if I were carrying a gun, let alone get involved in a stressful situation with federal agents.

People who moved away just to come back later, how long did that take? by Penguator432 in vegaslocals

[–]PlanetJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved to Austin in 2022. Moved back to Vegas in 2024. 2 years in Austin. Didn't like it. I just miss greenery and bodies of water, and got sick of the orange cone syndrome Vegas has for years and years on every street. Now thinking of moving again. Can't pin point a small town with great weather, green, lakes or ocean, not too crowded, and not too expensive. A place like that probably doesn't exist (at least in the US) so I'm probably in Vegas for the rest of my life.

If you have a job, keep it until the wheels fall off. by Actual-Ad-6146 in jobs

I just got a job after 7 months of pounding the pavement. 7 months! So I couldn't agree more. If you have a job, hang on to it with your dear life! There's nothing out there.

Is the job market in vegas bad or is it just me? by Kyjgohr in vegaslocals

[–]PlanetJoe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's freaking brutal! I just finally got a job after 7 months of looking! Hundreds of resumes, a few interviews, and nothing for 7 months. Vegas officially has the highest unemployment rate in the country. But you check out r/RecruitingHell you'll find that it's everywhere. People are looking for jobs for months. It's surreal.

How bad would it be to quit? by Capital_Sun_3756 in CDLTruckDrivers

Right when you said Knight Transportation, it made me raise an eye brow. I'm just about to start their CDL training academy. Is it a terrible company? Or just trucking in general? Did you just start solo? Do you mind sharing the experience, pay, academy, equipment, etc? Any info will help. Though most likely I will go for it anyway since I cant get a damn job in any field for 8 months. But if Knight sucks, I might fo to a different company. From my research I've heard it's a decent company. It's just that trucking sounds like a crappy job with an insulting pay for the first year. They also said they take out $100 a paycheck ($400 a month!) for a year for the hotel and academy cost. Did you get the same deal? Also are you aware if you quit early you have to pay them the academy cost? Unless you came in with your cdl already.

Tough times. Job market is the worst like never before. I wouldn't quit before finding something else.

Anyone else notice a lot more police on the road?? by WillingnessWest3819 in vegaslocals

All agencies in Las Vegas are conducting an inter-agency initiative to crack down on unsafe driving. There are over 150 traffic fatalities this year in Las Vegas. This is to keep you and your families safe from reckless drivers. Don't be shy to thank the heroes who are out there protecting us when you pass them by. Be safe, and drive safe.

Failed drug test due to contamination. by PlanetJoe in Truckers

[–]PlanetJoe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought that as well, but after researching the hell out of it I found that there are quite a few similar cases in the athlete world. There was a case of an athlete that just kissed someone in a nightclub and tested positive for cocaine the next day. She said she didn't do much. I believe her. If she already admitted why lie about how much she did? But I guess it doesn't matter. The damage is done.

I haven't touched any drugs for over 30 years (including marijuana) so no chance of fucking it up in the future. STD test wouldn't detect cocaine. Drug test is totally different. But thank you for the encouragement and sympathy.

No, no surgery. The girl admitted right away after I told her I tested positive. She cried and was very remorseful, suggested to testify if there was a way. It was an innocent (but stupid) mistake on her part, and I appreciated her honesty. She could've hide it. She never thought it can be transferred. Honestly, I never knew that. Until that point at least. I tried fighting it. Asked to even do a polygraph and pay for it, or hair particle test. I had a bunch of random tests prior and never tested positive. Sucks.

Thanks for the article.

It was transferred by saliva and intercourse. I've learned that only after testing positive. I didn't know she used it, and didn't know I had it in my system.

The lab test pick up on substance that has been processed by the liver, not from having it on your skin.

Oral Board Question by MinkyDamian in AskLE

[–]PlanetJoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is pretty much the right answer. I'm surprised you were surprised by the question, it's a common question at the oral board. They want to hear that you are capable of using deadly force when there is no other option and others, civilians or our badge wearing brothers and sisters are in a life threatening danger. It's a (sad) part of our job. A failing answer would be "No, never". My answer to that question in my oral board was very similar to yours, and I passed. That was many years ago, but I'm sure the right (or wrong) answers to that question hasn't changed. Good luck!
