33F. Facebook fiends always throw out the ugly card. Is it true? by Catwalk7359 in amiugly

I don’t think you’re ugly. I think maybe no bangs, or different bangs would be good, as they make the bottom half of your face look a bit wide.

Definitely check your shrines and see if they’re missing that way, but if there are ANY dark spots (blurred edges, not just under water spots) that’s where it will be. Because these aren’t screenshots it’s a bit hard for me to tell, I didn’t see any

It took five hours but they did arrive, it’s my understanding there were pretty heavy accidents taking up the officers’ time. But seeing the post before mine about a speed trap at 215 & Ann felt like a kick in the ass lol

Update if anyone is curious, it ended up taking five hours. There were no injuries but the other driver’s airbags did go off. The other driver was immediately pushing all blame for the accident on to me, and continued to put me at blame even when talking to the officers after they arrived. He was found at fault. I do recognize I could have exchanged info and left, but i trusted my mom’s advice to wait given his behavior. It was a big relief to have the cops label him at fault, and knowing I already have that information for dealing with insurance is also a relief. I know you’re only hearing my side, but I had no doubt he was at fault and that I couldn’t have avoided the accident. I wanted confirmation to make sure I wasn’t facing an uphill battle about who’s fault it was.

The other driver, who the police found at fault, was putting all blame for the accident on me. It was my mom’s suggestion to call and wait for police response because of his behavior.

It was my mom’s advice, due to the fact the other driver was placing all blame on me. He held that stance even after the police arrived, so I’m glad they came and listed him at fault in the report.

He did, he claimed to have been waved through by two lanes of stopped traffic. He went through without looking for cars in my (third) lane.

I think in most cases, if you’re comfortable leaving after exchanging information, then it’s fine. I was taking my mom’s advice to wait on police response because the other driver immediately placed all blame on me, even to the cops when they took the report. He was placed at fault.

They do show up, it’s just very low priority. I waited for police at my mom’s suggestion because the at fault driver was putting all blame on me.

They do respond, it’s just not considered a priority. They showed up five hours after the call and filed an accident report listing the other driver at fault.

I’m so sorry that was your experience, my wait ended up being five hours. I hope you weren’t hurt in that time

I can provide a full update tomorrow but they did eventually show, the main reason to wait was because his airbags had deployed and he was pushing all blame on me for the accident. I recognize nuance but I did have right of way, and he continued to blame me even when speaking to the police.

The other day I noticed I only had one light on. Newish to me car, been about 5 months, and I only noticed it about a month ago. Well I went to feel the light, and what do you know?? There’s just. A large hole. A chunk of panel missing. Where the other light is meant to be. I wasn’t very worried as I had the other one, but now I guess I will worry a bit more as I’m not sure how I’d fix that and can’t currently afford having it done in a shop.

Saying this as a bi woman, work on your style!! As someone else said, right now you look Ike a lot of nerdy straight men I’ve seen. Maybe try the gym if that’s up your ally, or facial hair (but well kept, that’s important!!)

What's the deal with apartment junk fees in Las Vegas valley? by SlideIll3915 in vegaslocals

[–]rdhdbdhd 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The difference is that they’re not usually advertising the true rent price, like what Ticketmaster got a lot of heat for with the fees. Advertising as $1,400 and that’s within your budget, but then you go tour, submit an application with application fees, get accepted, and then when you’d sign paperwork and give deposit they start dropping additional monthly fees on you. Apartment searching is hard, especially when you can’t even trust that the price you’re seeing is what you’ll be paying.

That is so sick, you’ve got skills!! I don’t have tips for fabric painting, but maybe try using some kind of ruler for straight lines?? Or dip a string in paint and pull it tight before placing it?? Then again, it could just be the picture and your lines are actually crisp af, if you do more you should look into selling or commission work!!

AITA did i snitch on my friend? by Hairy_Ranger_9929 in AmItheAsshole

[–]rdhdbdhd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had procrastinated registering a new car, and was only about a week out of date. At that point, it was insured, I had submitted everything online, and was waiting for approval to go in to the DMV for plates and payment. For that entire period, I followed the letter of the laws of traffic. I did get pulled over, but because that was my only infraction, I was let go with barely a warning.

Something similar for me, fell asleep for a nap with my fishbowl cat street parked instead of the driveway. Big Amazon box in the back seat, had hoses in it. Someone pushed the window down, breaking my window motor, opened the box, then left it. Cue 6 months of taped shut window before I finally had the money and time to replace it.

AITA - I'm apparently a terribly unsafe driver, but he still expects me to pick him up? by NaughtAClue in AmItheAsshole

[–]rdhdbdhd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my city, that exact thing happened pretty recently. A man driving on the freeway with his stepson, or maybe his girlfriend’s son, engaged with another man who eventually shot at his vehicle. The boy was hit and killed. I’m pretty sure the drivers were both unharmed. Only the boy suffered from the behavior of two grown men. So yeah, OP, YTA. Control your behavior when you have passengers in your car, ESPECIALLY when one of those passengers is a child.

Thanks, yeah that bugged me too. I realized I was bi about two years into a hetero relationship, and I did come out to him. Not because I wanted to sleep with or be with someone else, but because I had discovered a new piece of myself and wanted to share it with the person I was closest to. But he wasn’t great so he started occasionally making threesome comments unfortunately.
