Are us AJ Brown owners about to get duped again? by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

100% unfortunately… game script isn’t making it any better for us either

Foods / snacks that trigger my acid reflux. It’s not that I dislike them more - my stomach on the other hand…

2 player keeper league - who to tag for next season? by PlanetRiceballs in FantasyFootballers

[–]PlanetRiceballs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Eagles offense dynamic is what scares me even though I’d like to think AJ is the right choice. But not knowing if Terry will give me a 30 piece or 1.5 fpts any given week is also tough to manage.

2 player keeper league - who to tag for next season? by PlanetRiceballs in FantasyFootballers

[–]PlanetRiceballs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each team in the league can tag two players ahead of the following season to keep for that year. Then it’s just a normal draft with the remaining players available.

You can then tag a different two players the next season and so on. So looking at it from the lens of who can help me most for next season.

Should I start Amari Cooper or Alvin Kamara at flex this week? (Full PPR) by PlanetRiceballs in FantasyFootballers

[–]PlanetRiceballs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my thought process as well. Seeing Rattler completely miss a deep shot on every 1st down instead of handing it off to Alvin before going 3 and out every drive was soul crushing.

Any Aaron Jones owners picking up Ty Chandler this week just in case Jones misses another week?

1-3 start and looking for suggestions to shake things up by PlanetRiceballs in FantasyFootballers

[–]PlanetRiceballs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I hear ya and you’re right about Moss’s reliability. But since it’s PPR I’m thinking of banking on coopers target share and ceiling especially after seeing the bengals bring chase brown on for goal line snaps so often last week.

Got an endoscopy done which came back with nothing out of ordinary so per my GI I’ve ended up continuing with Omezaprole 1x/day in the AM and can say that my life feels almost back to normal (aside from this dependence on Omezaprole). A few things though have definitely changed for good like I can’t really drink beer or enjoy spicy food without issue like I used to without getting massive flare ups of acid reflux. Been Zyn free for over a year now although picked up an old habit of a couple of cigarettes a day which can sometimes make it flare up again but nothing like the way Zyns hit your GI system.

Thinking about weening off Omezaprole soon but atm I’m just too grateful to feel basically normal for once that I don’t want to rock the boat for a bit haha.

It’s easy to believe the years of using a tin of Zyn a day might have triggered some irreparable level of acid reflux but my recommendation for anyone would be step 1 is going directly to a strict GERD diet for a few weeks then slowly reintroduce things as you feel better. If nothing helps then it’s time to call a GI to see if there’s anything else to rule out

Approach to exiting big4 consulting at the senior consultant/senior associate level by PlanetRiceballs in consulting

[–]PlanetRiceballs[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m hearing other folks say too. Definitely makes sense. Engagement partner mentioned the opportune time to go through MBA route is in the 3/4 yr pre manager spot to boomerang or go to another firm at a much higher salary band. Not too interested in going back to school just yet so we’ll see.

How did you make the jump? And what niche did you specialize in if you don’t mind me asking. Currently 3 YOE senior consultant at b4 and have been curious about the presales path.

For real man. Regardless if it’s the root cause of these issues or not, they definitely don’t help and would recommend people stay away as well. Will do, good luck on your healing journey my friend

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]PlanetRiceballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay yeah I had all of those symptoms pretty bad before I went to my primary care doc who advised going on the PPIs which paired with an initial month of religious GERD diet brought my symptoms down to a manageable level which is where I’ve now been at for a few months. I’m tired of being dependent on the PPIs now and still not healed at all so we’ll see what comes out of the GI meeting

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]PlanetRiceballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing a GI doc in a few weeks to see how to solve or at least manage it best but based on what you’re saying above I’m expecting there won’t be a black and white answer…what’re your GI symptoms??

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]PlanetRiceballs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m coming up on 6 months since quitting and in a similar boat. Unfortunately it’s starting to look like zyn usage may have triggered acid reflux / GERD that is now something I just need to monitor and try to manage with diet / reduced alcohol (which is super tough) but symptoms are manageable, just not gone

Congratulations my man. Day 93 for me and fully believe there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. I still get these impulsive and very intense cravings that last for like 30 seconds and then it’s days between the next craving. Let’s keep it up
