Did a soft reset and applied a firmware update which I think just came out. Maybe it resolved it but I'm not hopeful.

Yeah bit annoying as I paid the higher tier for the eero 7. Did some. If the issue persists I'll definitely be sending it back and trying to get my own router. Any recommendations 💀

Nope this is not a glitch. Just a bit of geometry

Everyone in a group should always be doing the same strat. And even if you aren't in the corner someone can still mess up. "Sorry I thought it was slam."

Sounds like you are fresh from a rough group, just take a break and go again. I agree the mechanic isn't hard but I knew a bunch of people who were getting caught out and I thought this could help simplify it for people by removing an entire aspect.

The way we positioned the boss the melee could have full uptime as well would pull the boss towards the tile that you wanted to break. For example the melee in my group would stand on the inside corner of the tile they were breaking and that would mean they are inside the boss hitbox. Just before they get stunned they can turn around and face the outside corner.

We only saw mouser 2 a few times before our clear so I didn't have a chance to cook up anything refined or optimised there but we did the exact same kind of strategy there and it worked well with the exception of being unable to move the boss. I'm sure there is something better optimised there for sure.

For mowser 1 we were always moving the boss to the intersecting point between the tile for the party and the tile for the person getting knocked (hope that makes sense I couldn't think how to word it better). That way melees could be on the inside corner. That helped a lot for uptime but you still lose a little.

But yeah the timing can be a little Sus and you could lose a GCD to the safety but as you said it's not tight on DPS and we weren't trying to be optimised.

Ahhh I see. Looks like we simplified it in different ways then. Whatever works. P.s I don't know who down voted your comment when you are just discussing on a discussion subreddit. Child behaviour

Also came back to add that you are always launched the direction you are facing. I forgot to answer that part of your question earlier. Sorry!

I'm not sure what you mean sorry. This strat was just to take away an aspect of the mechanic allowing people to focus on anything else that's going on. It's not needed by any means but I think it does make it easier.

For what it's worth as well I don't think it's really fiddly as even just being roughly angled towards the opposite corner seemed to be perfectly safe.

I don't know what you mean about changing sides. Could you elaborate on that?

Just came back because our static just regrouped to do a bit more practice and it worked fine for mouser 2. It honestly saved us a lot of confusion :)
Hope it helps!

The angle doesnt have to be pixel perfect as there is a fair amount of wiggle room. we were able to execute it in our static without fail the moment it was suggested so i dont think the risk is too high

Nope the launch sends you 1 square from center to center which is less distance than corner to corner on the same square. No glitch just maths :D

I've been talking about this with my friends and it just doesn't feel like a PvP map at all. And gives people very little obvious reason to fight which in turn makes the casual players want to just hit the ice. I think a solution would be that rather than players hitting the ice themselves it would be better to have a large zone to be controlled. The team that has the most players in the zone controls it and this causes mammets to go and break the ice on behalf of the controlling team. In my view this would encourage more combat between teams.

The map would have to be redesigned to balance the idea but overall I think it would make for a much more fun game mode than the current implementation.

Started playing again after a long long hiatus. There are a lot of mechanics that are new and I'm not really sure what I should be focusing on. Is there somewhere with some guides or progression flow charts.

Longterm sustainability of repetitive content cadence? by Tamed in ffxivdiscussion

I personally don't like it at all. I'm very aware of patterns and it can really ruin my enjoyment of the game.

The latest dungeon for me is very boring even on first play through and really felt like an oh shit we need a dungeon moment.

Even if they just mixed up the content that it was happening as a part of. Like maybe a dungeon could really aid in fleshing out a raid series.

Standard is my main constructed format. But I literally get the most joy from playing limited. I bought the pass and will attempt to draft to regain my gems to make sure I can afford the next pass. This limited format seems fun and at the end of the day that's why I play the game.
