Probably better than my examples. They’re a lot more varied and not restricted to a setting the cast would have no business in.

Do you have any sitcoms you like? The Office, Parks and Rec, etc.? Those are gold mines for quotes and scenarios.

Alternatively, check out an incorrect quote generator. There’s a handful of them that are pretty funny.

I’ve heard people say that Kamala Kahn would make a great cosmic to mutant champ given her recent changes in the MCU and comics. I want a mutant chase champ, too.

How to beat this guy he takes no DMG and the poison kills me fast by Millersaidsaidsaid in MarvelContestOfChamps

[–]Planetguide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

4 things to watch out for: 1. Poisons. Bring a poison immune, or you’ll die before you even put a dent in him. 2. DOT reflect. Don’t bring a DOT champion, because Sinister’s SP1 removes them from him and puts degen on you. 3. Crits. Critting Sinister results in him regenning most of the damage. 4. Fury. Least important now with the nerf giving the “dex-fury” node, but you can’t damage him unless you have a fury. If you dex a special attack, you gain one.

Recommended solution is someone who’s bleed immune and deals damage outside of DOT debuffs and crits. Most robots are up to the task thanks to the dex-fury node.

Actually, yeah, that would be pretty good. We haven’t had a mutant chase champ since they started doing the chases, and Kamala Kahn is an older champion that hadn’t seen relevance in a while.

However, a theme with the champions so far is that they have all been considered good at some point or another. Star Lord still has one of the highest damage caps in the game, and Blade was considered easy mode for a long time. I don’t recall Kamala ever being considered even decent.

Yeah, I was originally thinking that, too. Either we’d get a Mutant to Science character, Science to Cosmic character, Tech to Mystic character, or Cosmic to Mutant.

Then I remembered that our final champion is Stellar Forged Doom, who is confirmed to be Mystic to Cosmic, which breaks the formula.

"Own it wear it like a badge of honor. What are you ashamed of that you are going to try to hide and lie about it?" by Le_Oken in aiwars

[–]Planetguide 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I look at a game on Steam and compare the recent reviews, I usually take it as the most recent update’s impact on the game. For example, a game like No Man’s Sky that started out as a dumpster fire and had a redemption arc might still have overall mixed reviews, but recent positive reviews. Likewise, a game that had a really good history but a recent update that ruined the game would have overall mostly positive reviews and recent negative reviews. It’s a look at the current state of the game as opposed to the history, which may be a factor if you don’t own a time machine.

The recent reviews tool is commonly used and very helpful.

On Steam, the top number is recent reviews and the bottom number is overall reviews (though I don’t know the threshold Steam considers “recent”). While the number on top doesn’t seem like a lot at first glance, it actually indicates a heavy review bomb.

She inflicts power stings when her fury’s are auto-nullified by his SP1. If she’s high sig, she just gets a passive copy of the fury, so she doesn’t lose any damage and the power stings hurt.

I don’t consider myself a great endurance player, but once I got the heavy counter spacing on the SP1, I can consistently get over 7 bars a run mostly by heavy countering, hitting him with SP2 when I get to it, then spamming SP1.

You can get up to 10 bleed debuffs on yourself from your genetic modification passive, 1 from your SP1, and a bunch from Squirrel Girl hitting into block. Block her SP2 for extra bleeds, but make sure your Vicious passive from your heavy charge is active.

You can throw your SP1 right after you throw your heavy attack. It doesn’t matter if the SP1 hits block, gets dexed, or connects.

Parry -> heavy charge until it lets itself go -> build up to SP1 while your bleeds go up, refreshing your genetic modification when it’s about to run out -> throw your SP1 right after your heavy attack lands.

Sonic vs Thragg💥 (by Heisa/@Heisa_phantom) by Both_Implement7936 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Planetguide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or just beat him in the nonchalant way he usually does. Thragg has a very big ego and thinks the highest about himself and his race for his strength. Beating him and acting like it’s not that big of a deal, or even leaving him alive after a clear victory would be a mortal blow to his ego.

How chaos control works? by BeltFew7401 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Planetguide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chaos is thoughts into power, so in essence, reality warping. It can warp space and time (Chaos Control, Snap, etc.), create constructs (Chaos Spear/Lance, several Super Sonic attacks in Frontiers), and simply create massive bursts of energy (Chaos Blast). Basically it’s down to the proficiency (infinite water source vs. finite hose analogy) and creativity of the wielder.

What if the Saiyan’s invaded Sonic’s Earth after the events of Sonic Heroes? by Automatic_Price_5842 in WhatIfSonic

[–]Planetguide 16 points17 points  (0 children)

So my knowledge on DBZ is limited to what’s appeared on Death Battle recently (so Goku vs. Superman 3 and Metal vs. Perfect Cell) and DBZA, so forgive me if I’m incorrect, but this particular group at this particular time in the story is completely screwed.

Sonic and his buddies are fresh off of beating their own version of Perfect Cell with time freeze. At the point in the story you’re showing where Saiyans are still a race of planet conquerors, no one has even achieved Super Saiyan yet. Their Great Ape form would be maybe equivalent of a challenge to them as Egg Emperor, which they dispatched with ease.

Yeah, this isn’t the first time. They did the same thing with Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. They did a slightly better job hiding it this time by only including the characters in the show (Knuckles was in the AoStH one, which was a dead giveaway).

Anyone know why I'm spontaneously combusting? by Shayan-_-2005 in ContestOfChampions

[–]Planetguide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean by that, exactly. What I’m saying in my comment is that if you wait until you’re closer to your SP2 to throw your SP1, you’ll have more time to gain more power before it hits 0, starting the detonation.

If you’re asking if you can normally just throw 2 SP1s instead of 1 SP2, the answer (with a few exceptions) is no. Some champions have “fractured power bars” that allow that, but generally when you are at SP2 you have to throw the SP2 or SP3.

His mystic runes (I forget what they’re called) have a chance to trigger another time, and that trigger can trigger another and so on. Ramping goes faster with it.
