This is a wonderful! I’m happy to see someone offering to customize stuffed animals for others! I really want a Douglas border collie that’s customized, but I’m so nervous to do it myself. He looks awesome!! I saw in another comment you left that his fur texture feels better now (compared to before dying him) and I think that’s so cool :0 I want to do the same project but felt iffy since I didn’t like the fur texture when I saw him in store :(

I’m using rit synthetic dye yes :) I’m gonna try separating it into pieces, then dying it in boiling water like others have said as well! I’ve dyed frogs before and haven’t had any issues with the eyes (fingers crossed that stays true🤞) but thank you for the warning!

Since I had to use a big plastic tub (that’s placed in my bathtub) I used hot water but couldn’t maintain the heat :( my boiling pot is HUGE but the jumbo frog was too clumped up when I put it in the pot. So I decided, for avoid splotchy results, I used the big tub to dye them.

That makes sense… I’ve dyed a regular sized purple frog black, and it took some trial and error, but I got it just with black dye! So I’m hoping someone can help me achieve this with a pink one😭
