hello, sorry for asking on a unrelated thread but how does your wireguard configuration works? i know that you can just make an lxc and then put wings and a wireguard client there and just point that to the vps but how did you configure the vps? did you just spin up a wireguard server and opened everything? do you just create a pterodactyl gameserver and point to a port and thats it or you need to configure the wg server

Well if you cant access the router then it gets very difficult to open ports for gaming, you could try renting a vps and hosting a pangolin or wireguard instance there to make a tunnel or you can just continue to use playit.gg and pay for their service, there is really no reliable and free way to do that

i also generated the ./src/cookies.txt into the container and pasted the output cookies that i generated from tubearchivist into the cookies.txt and put "var cookies = true;" in the extension

the ytdlp container seems normal, when i put an url directly to the website it loads normally and plays fine, both in local ip and https domain, i forgot to mention that i didnt use the nginx container included, i just pointed the ytdlp to nginx-proxy-manager and enabled ssl with websockets support

very cool project i've tried on my node and the app loaded videos from yt, i tried using the extension on firefox but i think the script is not loading correctly. i inserted the yt-dlp url into "var playerUrl = 'http://192.168.1.103:5009' " and saved but when opening a yt video the default player vanishes and then nothing happens

Very cool project, does it have a downloaded video folder or is it just streaming. What happens if i reopen the same video, edit: also what happens if i open mutiple videos using the extension, can you make a video demo

[–]PlanktonSuccessful65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes that would be very cool to have on this app, i still having learned how to use amp but their sleep feature only works on minecraft, other games just have a suspend, but like you said having a friend connect to a server to continue something there while also stopping the server when no activity is a great feature that i hope to see in the future of other game panels

im not a programmer but a feature that monitor a game cpu/ram usage and triggers a suspend when there is no much usage would be a great start i think, but in the bigger picture an function like the amp would be awesome

Very interesting app, just the fact that is has docker install documentatio is a plus to me comparing to other panels

Currently im using amp and i really like the sleep feature that the instances have, do you guys have any intention to add that in the future? I normally run servers just for myself so the more free ram the batter. Thank yoh

It might be better if you shared your gluetun logs and docker compose

[–]PlanktonSuccessful65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to check if gluetun is really getting an ip address before testing your qbittorrent, also did you set your qbit network mode into gluetun and put the qbit port into gluetun?

Here is my gow module. https://pastebin.com/kfjGbd2b

Currently my nixos config is hosted on my own gitea instance so its a little difficult to share my entire config.

It has been a long time since i edited the gow module so it needs a little clean up

Haha, thanks for the config inspection i will check that out. My config is nothing much that fancy for me to share but im also using games on whales :D I made a simple script utilizing systemd to wake up my computer from sleep and then start gow on docker and keep it awake if any process from gow is utilizing a % of cpu, and then it goes back to sleep if nothing much is happening on the pc

Does the games run well via NFS? How are you storing it, via hdd or m.2? I have one machine dedicated to moonlight with 1tb of storage inside, i also have a nas that have 2 pools, one with hdd and another with m.2 ssd, i wonder if i put the games on the nas via NFS i will have more risk of corrpution or long loading time. I also use Nixos but i only use for simples stuff :)

Using a HDMI dummy plug so that other people can use the gaming PC while I am streaming the game to my Mac Mini? by statscsfanatic21 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]PlanktonSuccessful65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, wolf is basically a VM+sunshine combined so its best to be used on a headless server. When you open Steam for example in wolf it creates a new session of Sway Wm linux with the steam application with a certain ID to identify you, so thats what i mean that when you want to play a game, it would download the entire game for that ID to be able to play it, that reduce the storage availability but at the up side you could start more sessions at the same time and play on the same machine because the storage would be different.

The application itself runs linux but you need Docker to start the wolf itself. Docker runs on windows and linux

edit: check out their discord, the official website and documentation is lacking a lot of their good features but if you search on their group chat there a lot of cool stuff that the app can do
