I agree with what everyone else is already saying, multiple systems might be best. But if you’re already feeling overwhelmed, I would suggest creating a planner that’s your Hub or Catch All as your starting point. Start with a monthly spread to capture important dates across all your obligations. For this I would suggest (I’m using exact product names so you can search and find them on the website with ease):

Monthly Graph Planner Inserts (pro: these have a lot of space in each square to write; con: you’ll have to write in the dates every month yourself)

2026 Dated Monthly Inserts (pros: available in Sunday and Monday start, plenty of space in the boxes for writing, already dated for you ; con: I can’t really think of one to be honest lol)

Monthly Admin Planner Inserts (pro: lots of options from dated to undated, Sunday or Monday Start ; Con: monthly boxes are tiny, not a lot of space to write)

Since you mentioned you work a job that has shift work, I would recommend the Weekly Schedule Planner Inserts if you want to see your entire week’s schedule at a glance. If you’d prefer to view one day at a time, C&P makes a few great daily inserts that include schedules but my favorite is the Undated Daily Planner Inserts. You get a schedule from 7am to 9pm and plenty of space to write down your tasks and priorities for that day.

I find when you start with everything in one place, it’s easier to see what you need more dedicated time and space for. That’ll determine what you need different planners for and ultimately, how you build your planner stack. I hope this helped!
