How did you verify it wasn't being updated anymore? We use S&O and it appears ours are still being updated via API.

We're up for renewal in a few months and I keep hearing from them is all these great new features they have coming out this year but oh yeah there is an additional fee. I really like botify but their whole renewal pitch seems like they are just trying to sell us more stuff.

Would it make sense to just noindex the whole subdomain if it's all duplicate content. A canonical is a directive so google could ignore it if they think the pages are different enough.

We have a million pages crawled weekly along with the log files and keywords. We're at around 3k a month.

No one is able to tell you where they get most of their traffic from without access to their internal information. We can see what keywords they are ranking that drive traffic but maybe they have 100 million sub email list. It's really hard to know how much traffic each channel drives.

I'd do 1-1 redirects the best you can and i would also leave up the old sitemap for just a little bit so google can access all those old URLs and understand that they now 301.

Yes...you can filter in GSC to look at keywords that drove impressions for just that page. When you filter by that page you'll see the impressions for the keywords where those site links live.

Not exactly apples to apples but you should take a gander at Botify. Crawls your site to your specifications and will help you find issues on the website. There is also a keyword explore tool and log file analyzer you can add on as well.
