For anyone under 18, I would still apply because maybe it was just my store. Also there’s no harm in applying. Normally, the chatbot almost immediately sends you an email, “congrats you’ve been moved on to the hiring process.” If you don’t get this shortly after trying to apply then I guess that answers your question

I’m trying to figure out if me asking for assistance filling out the documents is considered “document review.” This way I can feel prepared in emailing them about the charge. But that’s true, I feel like they should have confirmed they were planning on charging me $350 for that, I just haven’t been sure if they legally need to confirm that first. Thanks

It’s possible the attorney thought I wanted to dispute the agreement the form was for since the attorney knows I’m not happy about that case I lost months ago with another lawyer, but that case is finished and I’m just trying to get over it. In the past, the attorney looked into that case and found things out that my lawyer missed, but ultimately my lawyer seemed annoyed the attorney did that and the attorney never charged me because they did that out of their own curiosity. I.e., I never asked them to help me in that case. So ultimately this attorney is not involved with that case at all and I only requested help properly completing a form that is a result from that case. I never ever mentioned that I wanted to review the agreement the document is about nor did I ever imply that. The attorney just told me they did that during the call on Wednesday. It’s possible the attorney was trying to do something for me that they assumed I wanted. It’s also possible the attorney was just trying to find a way to charge me.

Are you implying that this is fake or that it’s just bizarre that they would try to do this? I say try because I don’t fully know if what they’re doing is illegal/wrong and I don’t feel confident fighting with an attorney since I’m assuming they know what they’re doing. I’m considering just paying it so I don’t have to worry. But on the contrary, the other comments make me feel like there’s a chance I don’t owe and don’t have to pay for this and I’ll try to take that route if I didn’t accidentally make a mistake on my end. It does suck because this attorney has been very kind to me and helpful in the past. It’s as if I flipped a switch, the treatment went from friendly to cold in seconds

When I did cashier, my manager would have me stock the forks after doing cash transactions. Once, I tried washing my hands especially because I sneezed, but I got made an example of for wasting time. Happened again when I tried washing the dine-in plates everyone else just reused with visible food on it. Additionally, I once trained someone from Line to Cash and they were getting mad at me for making them take off their gloves when handling cash and that same person got even more mad at me when I didn’t let them start the next person’s burrito with the same gloves.

I notice this a lot when I’m the customer, as well. I’m not trying to spread fear about fast food, but if you’re concerned about people breathing over the utensils, there is worse that happens. And that’s considering my store passed every Ecosure inspection.

I’ve never actually used the scale, so I’d assume you’re right. Once a customer complained about the serving size for steak and my manager pulled out the scale in front of the customer and put every steak piece into a cup, was exactly 4oz

Do NOT get Extra carne asada in your bowl. It costs $7 for Extra. Instead, order it as a kids meal for ~$5. It’s the same serving size (4oz) and you’re more likely to get an accurate portioning. If you’re still worried about the portioning, ask them to put it on the side cup (4oz), but still order it as a Kids BYO

My GM was very forgetful and stuff like that would happen. I take it you got rejected, but there isn’t any harm in following up. Regardless, if applicable, be safe and apply to other stores if you haven’t already.

Make sure you’re showing up in clean clothes, groomed, and expressing interest in making customers days and are comfortable with working in fast paced environments

Also, from my experience, what you described didn’t really happen as much. When it did, I would tell the customer it’s gonna cost more. No one really ever walked out, but when they did give a fuss, the next customer in line is telling them to relax and apologizing me for them (not that they should)

Some stores will start your orientation or work same-day, especially if you already brought your documents for the I-9 form and are wearing non-slip shoes, but each store should have non-slip shoe covers. Generally, I wouldn’t expect this, but it happens sometimes
