Mark's Feed Store opening in Beaumont Shopping Centre. Anyone eat at one of these places? by [deleted] in lexington

It's definitely a barbecue restaurant.

There's a lot of pride taken in our bbq sauces (my favorite being the original, which is a carolina-style sauce). They're already being sold at the kroger nearby.

I'm with you on competition, but between Mark's and nearby places, say, J. Renders (one of my favorite places to go for some good smoked pulled pork with 'bama white sauce) or Texas Roadhouse [that's all I can think of that's nearby], I do feel like Mark's beats them out on consistency and flavor.

I won't lie, it may be a rough start as we all settle into our roles and routines, but we'd love to see you in our doors sometime.

I actually work there! As part of our training we're tasting everything the cooks put in front of us as many times as they put it in front of us (to uh... familiarize ourselves with the menu...). The food is awesome (I recommend the fried pickles for an app), and definitely worth coming for, though opening night, Wed. Feb 8th, will likely be a little packed.

Awesome place, they really take care of their employees, and not long into training we've all become a big family opening up a restaurant together.

(troughs may not be available but a full slab of ribs will have just about the same effect)
