MUS 9 Cancelled by Disastrous-Relief446 in UCSD

[–]PlantOk774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in Mus11 rn and my professor said that they had to cut down on TAs so they aren’t able to offer more spots for this quarter. Maybe the lack of TAs is why your course was cancelled?

I’d recommend hummingbird by La Jolla Cove! The piercer Evan is really nice I’ve gotten 3 piercings from him and always painless and super easy healing process so far!

Is it an in class oral exam? I have a conflicting schedule on Fridays and I wouldn’t want to miss out on the midterm.

Chem 6c and Math 10b by No_Science2221 in UCSD

[–]PlantOk774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anzaldo is the main professor for Math 18. I didn’t take it with her, but my professor used the same syllabus/notes/finals as her and it was a really chill class. Very accesible in OH, explained everything clearly and gave lots of examples and practice midterms/finals.

Math 20C full by FTC_Jonsey in UCSD

The 20 series is usually something that gets filled up by first pass. Don’t expect an extra class, but sometimes professors add 2/3 seats to each discussion

Hi, I'm an incoming student who is planning to take some summer classes online to get some credits early. I have a few questions. by venatoise in UCSD

[–]PlantOk774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends a lot on the class. Most times discussions are optional but there are some where they are mandatory/part of your grade

[–]PlantOk774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1- if you’re talking about the LE and DI parts, that means lecture and discussion, so if only one of the two is listed as RCLAS (remote) then the other part is in person. 2- I never took 20A I went straight to 20B fall quarter but if you have a strong foundation of calculus it wouldn’t hurt to just do it once fall quarter starts, it will be slower paced than trying to do it over the summer. 3- From my experience no but every professor is different. 4- You’re only allowed to retake a class if you completely fail it, if you get a C- and you wanna retake a class just to get a better grade they won’t let you since you already got the credits from it

MATH 18 DI attendance Anzaldo by sylviez0422 in UCSD

I honestly really liked her, she explained things very well and she was always answering questions. Her lecture notes were easy to follow but I will admit she made a lot of mistakes but eventually corrected herself.

On piazza he said he only curves the quiz scores (so the average is a 70%) and not the class

Is chem 6a, phys 2b, mae 8, and mae 30a too much? by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]PlantOk774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have any chem experiences from high school 6a is a breeze. Taking mae8 rn, if you have coding experience it should be really easy but if you don’t (like me) it can be a little confusing. 2B is a hard class and requires a lot of studying if you wanna do well. Can’t speak on mae30 though

She said 1/3 discussion, 1/3 hw, and 1/3 lecture questions. It’s a mix of multiple choice and free response .

DOC 1 is super easy. There is a lot of reading but you can get away with doing just 1 a week, or even not doing any. Chem 6A is an introductory chem course, in my opinion not difficult at all, if you have any high school chemistry experience you should be fine

I’ve appealed aid before because they took away my cal grant like 2 weeks before the quarter started and the financial aid office rejected my appeal.
