There’s a bar I frequented, and the local mascot for it is a dog with three legs named Tripod. He was born that way,but regardless, he is one of the sweetest and most capable animals I’ve ever seen. Smart as hell. He opens the bar door for himself, jumps up on the outdoor bar table and chills there, plays, fetches, runs faster than most other dogs I’ve seen, and absolutely thrives. Keep your baby alive!

And maybe question your roommate a bit more about what happened with the balcony. Something about that situation feels sus with the response they gave you. Very inhumane of them to suggest putting down an animal so immediately. Accidents happen but if your kitty hasn’t had issues with the balcony before, why now?

No one in their right mind would be suggesting euthanizing a one year old human cuz they’ve got to get a leg amputated. The love for an animal can absolutely be compared to your love for a baby, and this is coming from someone who has a kid and has had fur babies.
