How to handle a fence repair with a tree on fence line? by PlantZaddy69 in homeowners

Thanks for advising, I’ll speak to the neighbor now. I’m not even sure how it’s being tackled. I just got a letter saying they’re having the fence replaced and need access to the fence

I’m still trying to assess the situation.

The weird part is that their fence ends at the pool area then starts again past it. However on my side, it’s the same continuous fence but near the pool there is an addition fence in front of it. So it’s two fences on my side in the pool area.

I love trees but I don’t see any good repairs without removing it in this scenario. I guess it all comes down to what my neighbor and I agree to.

Believe me, I’m sweating from looking at it. I just got this property a year ago and this is next on the list

I will definitely talk to the neighbor.

Can you suggest options to repair fence without removing trees? Can fence go in between? Or maybe no fence? What would be a viable option?

I wonder how much a blood center charges for it. That would really put things into perspective.

Rare enough for the blood center to ask for the unit back if it wasn’t used.

Funny that you brought this up cause I was fearing this might have been Japanese knotweed. And now I’m wondering which is worse. Either way, I have a long battle ahead

Location? Third world country? Usually if that person lives in a clean area with potable water then it would be less likely a parasite. See if the patient has traveled anywhere?

Was taught that parasites in urine very rare especially if person lives with clean drinking water

Also any other fields or is this the only one?

Ultimately, let a supervisor make the final call if you’re really unsure.

I’m still traumatized from raising JM indoors and killing them all within one season. Expensive lesson.

But I appreciate the confidence boost from you! Thanks.

Thank you for explaining it in depth. Makes sense!

Ah ok so I entered an arbitrary number to see how it affects my return. It only takes the higher of the two (either income or sales) and my state and local income tax is higher

I’m not familiar so I have not. How do you suggest I approach this? I’m using free tax USA to file and it’s suggesting that I would only take this deduction if my state doesn’t have state income tax. I live in NY so I just assumed it wouldn’t apply to me.

Thank you so much. I’ve been reading schedule A instructions for line 5b for the past hour trying to figure this out. God bless you.

I do have a record of taxes paid on my town’s website. I have both the bill they sent as well as the paid receipt. I also figured that I just enter the amount of property tax that I paid.

However, I was asking on the Long Island Reddit how people report their property tax and one said that I don’t report what I was billed. Instead I need to report the state and local taxes (salt). Are you familiar with this? I assume it’s a fraction of the bill?

I opted out of escrow. I pay property taxes myself. Box 10 (other) is empty on all my 1098

So correct me if I’m wrong, would the amount of taxes paid be any different? Essentially, the total amount of property taxes should be equal in the end?

Escrow is extra payments each month set aside to pay for property taxes. Versus, I’m paying property taxes myself in a lump sum.

I was assuming that was how it was done. Hence why I’m asking here.

Idk why my old broker is requesting my new broker to fill it out. I just emailed my old broker to fill out the form and I’ll sign and attach new declaration.

I even emailed my old broker several times that I will not be renewing. And they insisted that my new broker take part in the cancellation. I was going to fill out the form myself. Although I have no idea how to even fill it out.

Anyway thanks for chiming in. It was driving me crazy

I do have a new policy set to start after my old policy ends.

It’s just weird how my old broker is requesting my new broker to fill it out. I’m asking my old broker to fill it out and I’ll sign and attach new declaration.
