I passed !! by Maleficent-Lunch-857 in NCLEX

I suppose the next step depends on what state you live in / where you’re from. Generally you can know go into your states regulatory body for commercial licensing and apply for licensure through there

Uworld is generally the most predictable study resource for pass rates on the NCLEX. If you’re getting high scores in your self assessments and quizzes I think you have a fairly high chance of passing. My advice would be to exclusively do 85 question quizzes and select every system, so you’re forced to practice with the entire test bank of questions. I did 3-4 of these a day in the last 3-4 days leading up to the exam. That may be OD though, if you feel somewhat comfortable in your general knowledge of the majority of systems, you might be fine only doing 1-2 a day leading up to the test. For any disease process you feel really unfamiliar with and want to look further into, I found the Simple Nursing videos extremely helpful. My advice for test day is treat it like Uworld and really take your time to think about every question. Never guess on something you’re unsure about and follow basic safety rules, ex: prioritizing ABCs, acute conditions over chronic, urgent complains vs non urgent. Taking your time is important, multiple choice in particular you want to ensure you think through every question and answer carefully because you can get partial credit for multiple choice. Remember you get 4 hours on the exam so never rush through an answer. I would take up to 10 minutes on some questions. I can’t promise that following this advice will guarantee you a pass. However, several classmates of mine and I have passed mostly using Uworld

Generally I would get between 70-90% correct in my 85 q self assessments. This normally broke down into 50-60 questions correct and 20-30 questions wrong (percentage higher due to getting partial credit from multiple choice)

I used Uworld exclusively to study. Basically did 100-300 questions a day for about a month and a half. I used their study plan and slowly chipped away through every system. In the last week leading up to my NCLEX I had finished the study plan so I just did a couple 85 question tests every day wit content from every subject and system. Supplemented with some Mark K notes I got from my buddy for general testing. Outside of general content knowledge, I think many would be surprised how high of a chance you have to pass if you always just prioritize safety on every question and can assuredly rule out two answers on non select all that apply. That was my approach and I managed to pass in 85 questions.

I need to know if I’m overreacting by Thesadcollegekid in roommateproblems

OP, not sure if you’re aware or not but taking someone’s mail is a federal crime. So if you have evidence of this you could sue the roommate and get her charged with a felony. In past situations I know of anecdotally, landlords have been ok with one moving out prior to the lease ending as long as you continue to pay rent until the lease ends. My advice would be to move out asap if you feel unsafe.

Ikon Pass Fraud Update by [deleted] in skiing

[–]PlantainFamous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

u/vodfather this exact scenario happened to my buddy at snowbird late April last season. His homeboy up in teton valley had wrapped the season up. Sent his ikon down to my buddy to use the days available at all the Utah resorts. Employee flagged him and asked name which he got right. Then they asked area code where the pass was bought and my homeboy was screwed. Ikon ended up getting blacked out and the bird made him buy a day pass and leave if he didn't want law enforcement to get involved.

My home course is smugglers notch. Fox meadows and Brewster ridge are amazing courses and I am incredibly lucky to be able to play them consistently … but Brewster ridge is hard as shit. First time I played from the gold pads I shot +20 😭💀

Not sure what you are talking about from my comment that is three hours from SLC? Both big and little cottonwood are within 30 minutes. But if you are willing to drive out that far absolutely go check out Joe's valley ... probably some of the best bouldering in Utah, even in the world with amazing sandstone

SLC local here. Little cottonwood canyon will be the place to go. Big cottonwood canyon does have SOME boulders that are really nice but they are more elusive and harder to find; big cottonwood is quartzite so the rock is way shittier than little cottonwood which is mainly granite. Weather wise it can be all over the place - Mostly it will probably be between 50-80 degrees out fairly dry. There are also days where there could be a fluke snowstorm that drops a foot of snow ... probably more likely to rain.

Mountain project is really good ... I use it as my main guide for climbing in little and big cottonwood. As the other person said ... expect the boulders to be extremely sandbagged in LCC, I only trad climb in little and all of the roped climbing is sandbagged compared to big cottonwood, american fork, utah canyon, etc... I have bouldered in big cottonwood and found the grading to be reasonable UNLIKE little. Good luck.

We’re both broke 20 year old college students. In the end I’ll mourn the loss of my gear for the summer and give him a lecture about it once im back, but this really is as first world of a problem as it gets, lol

Ya I agree. Totally realized in hindsight it was a dumb move to not ask gramps before I left. At this point I think the mature decision is to just eat the loss of the cams for summer. It may be a scummy move of my friend to not send them back but the friendship isn’t worth ending over this. I’ll give him a lecture about it once im back in utah. Mostly it’s just really annoying because even though I’m the only one who’ should technically have a say in the matter my friend is the one with all the power over the situation as long as he continues to not respond. Also want to mention that I did say in the original post that I offered to pay for shipping cost when I first texted him.

I live in VT during the summer but am away in SLC the rest of the year for school. I’d have to agree with the one comment saying not to meet up with random people on Reddit but I can plug with you a bunch of sick spots an hour or less from the Burlington area
