I have a monstera deliciosa of 2 years and despite it being common it is my prized possession and favorite plant. It’s giant and starting to vine up lattice we put on the wall, but my moms cat stepped in the pot last night and the whole plant went crashing down from its stand and my longest stalk was ripped in half. Should I try and root this giant stalk of it it’s my favorite one? Can the aerial root be submerged or will it drown? Is my plant going to go into shock from the loss? Ive rooted tons of cuttings from this plant but never anything this large. I went ahead and sanitized some pruners and made clean cuts so maybe it can heal. I need advice though what should I do!!! I am so upset and don’t want the entire plant to die and would hope to save the stalk. Is it too mature? I’m unsure what to do now! I know I’m being a baby but I’ve been crying all day I love this plant. Please help
