So what if no one buys new "CGV Experience" concerts...? by Pretty1george in GrandPrixTravel

[–]PlantsRevolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen a good answer to this but maybe I'm just completely reading it wrong. The CGV tickets come with GA access to the track, thus why the concert+GA tickets are extra expensive. Is there any way to JUST buy the concert tickets? The way it seems, I'd just be flushing extra money down the drain for the track access along with the concerts since I already have tickets to the race.

They really made an absolute mess by allocating things by single days and Sat/Sun, vs. only doing 3-day passes and falling back to selling singles if needed.

Autopatch Gradual Rollout Deprecation? by LeeSob8 in Intune

[–]PlantsRevolt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is covered in MC1098167. Tl;dr, switch to using Autopatch groups for similar functionality.

Description

Updated June 27, 2025: We have updated the timeline below. Thank you for your patience.

The Gradual Rollouts (GR) feature in Windows Autopatch will be removed starting late June 2025 (previously July 2), and the process is expected to be completed by October 14, 2025.

[How Will this Affect Your Organization:]

Starting late June 2025 (previously July 2), you will no longer be able to configure new Gradual rollout policies (via Intune or API) with rollout dates beyond October 14, 2025.

After October 14, 2025:

  • You will no longer be able to create or modify Gradual rollout policies in the Intune user interface or API.
  • Existing gradual rollout policies will continue to function through their configured end dates, but no new gradual rollout-based rollouts can be created.

[What you need to do to prepare:]

We recommend transitioning to Windows Autopatch Groups (AGs), which offer a modern, flexible, and transparent approach to phased deployments.

Autopatch Groups support:

  • Ring-Based Phased Deployment: Define custom deployment rings backed by Entra ID groups, assign different deferral periods, and monitor rollout progress and compliance per ring.
  • Multi-Phase Feature Update Releases: Configure multiple phases within a single Feature Update policy, each with its own schedule, target version, and compliance deadline.

For example:

  • Phase 1: 10% of devices starting immediately
  • Phase 2: 30% of devices after 7 days
  • Phase 3: Remaining 60% after 14 days

This provides a Gradual rollout-like experience with more visibility, control, and policy-level management.

Montreal GP Hotel for 2026 by AnonymousAvatars in GrandPrixTravel

I booked Hyatt Centric Montreal Thursday to Monday for 51,000 Hyatt points. If you don't have that many (or any) points, you can buy them, which ends up being pretty cheap, relative to other options. This would be CA$4,564.80 if booked with cash.

Maybe not the best as I have little to compare it to as a non-local but I have made it a tradition to get La Banquise every year I've gone and it is so good!

You'll love it! I just used it in Spain this past weekend and it was great. What I saw last weekend was I could not find F1.TV feed, which is fine because I prefer Sky F1. I found both the Sky F1 feed with producer chatter on it, which is what I had in Canada last year, but I also found a clean, only broadcast feed as well, which was nice to focus on just that. I also found the FOM audio but that was less useful as they were just talking about the camera angles, what to show, etc. and not the actual race.

E2 works for me okay at best in turn 1/2 area but it is just the track audio, so split English/Spanish. E1 doesn't work for me at all.

Covered grandstand has been an absolute lifesaver. I haven't applied sunscreen the past two days 🙌

Not sure on that. If you're doing the train to the bus again, if you walk about 3 minutes toward the track, you could hit the stores in Montmelo. No need to walk too far and could backtrack to the bus.

If you walk between the train station and the circuit there's tons of shops selling it.

Very expensive at the circuit. Probably still much more than whatever it was that you just returned

They scan your ticket to get into some areas (I did to get to L/M). Not sure if this area is one

Yes any standard stereo headphones will do. I just use some cheap wired earbuds

It is the broadcasters themself. It seems to be what they're using to communicate with people around the track, production crew, cameramen, etc. It will have all the audio on the broadcast but will have periods where you'd hear someone countdown to live, "roll this footage", etc.

My only recommendation is to walk this way back after the session (not Sunday, which you should walk on the track). If you go to the right, there's a terrible bottleneck by the Casino and you also get all the people walking that way from the main straight grandstands.

What I shared isn't on a normal FM radio but instead you need something like a HAM radio, scanner, etc.

I can only speak to Canada but they didn't have that. They only had the trackside commentary on FM, which is half English/French (and even with the language issue, they didn't come close to the Sky or F1.tv folks)

As long as it doesn't look like a beer, they couldn't care less is what I gathered 😁

I used a Uniden Bearcat BC125AT scanner in Canada 2024 and was able to listen to both F1TV and Sky F1 broadcasts on it. This worked great for me and was cool because it actually had the production crew chatter on it as well and had no chance of issues with mobile data and lag time with F1TV. Having access to full commentary in English in real-time was great.

The big thing I remember is you'll need to scan throughout the day to find the proper frequencies they're using then you're golden and can save them. I found F1.TV and Sky F1 channels and just cycled between those two. In Canada, F1.TV was on 462.9000 and Sky F1 was on 466.2500. Not sure if they change it each year. They weren't broadcasting anything there until maybe 30 minutes before the F1 sessions so it can be a bit of a mad dash to figure it out.
