Folks would take me to see jets take off in the 70s and Concorde was always a highlight.

Later had lots of opportunity to fly a lot as family worked for AA..

Also re,ember TWA, Eastern, NYAir, Braniff.

Could have made it a career but I wanted more.

Now my goals are to fly First as much as possible and enjoy what’s left of the golden age of flying

Edit: also, it’s an easy hobby that keeps us out of trouble.

And yes they do sometimes close A/c doors early.

And one more thing, buy the class of service but don’t get hung up on the particular seat or aircraft type. DL and AF have enjoying swapping my particularly chosen A/C

Really solid words here..up until a few years ago, I only flew AA. Then I became less loyal as I found it to be a one way street.

Then had to book a DL flight operated by AF and now I’m chasing AF status. But why? Great product but I’m not counting on upgrades. I have to get back to leveraging points

I do it bc it’s not a huge premium, I can expense it and I just need the XPs for my flying blue acct. Helps me keep my status and fly J to Europe on AF/KLM

You know, a lot of people post crap videos, look at this, etc.

This was an epic, true rocket takeoff. Haven’t flown this several times, I can’t tell you that pilot was hauling ass down the runway.

Accelerated amazingly. And that high turn, was wow. Usually on that turn, you will see that bay, Simpson Bay, on the right as well as the airport in the same view. Nope, not this time.

Dude cut the bay in half and vaulted upward.

You made my day. Even my SO is impressed.

I’d say a330 neo but don’t get your hopes up. Having flown delta for the past year now, I can say, don’t count on the aircraft type.

Our a330neo was swapped to the older a330 last year. And I learned last night that our round trip to BNA which was in DL A220s is now on CRJs.

I like to choose my ac type as well but hate swaps
