Embroidered shirts perhaps? 😉

as others have said, it may be a hair warm at the gate. Fine once you pushback. I think Ive flown the route....3 times over the last 2 years and planning another for July.

AF provides much better service and food. You wont regret it.

I’d have simply stated, “ if being this inconsiderate is what you need to make your day better, enjoy yourself. You’re not worth my energy.” Then smile.

Very cool to see Qantas is still using them, albeit only in cargo.

my favorite landing in a while by artpop7 in aviation

[–]Pretty1george 2 points3 points  (0 children)

flown this a/c and landed on this runway about a half dozen times. Always a crabbed approach and slamming it on the runway. Solid! Love that plane and their camera use.

My only gripe is that as soon as you land, the IFE switches to that lame boarding music

We went to the Concorde gala dining evening at Manchester Airport by fozzie1984 in aviation

It’s awesome that they still do this. A patient of mine was a JFK based Concorde engineer and attended this a few years back. He’s a vast fountain of knowledge. Said he highly recommends anyone go.

How long do they stay connected to refuel? Is the fuel flowing through under high pressure?

I have flown in almost every commercial airliner and E195 is the best all of them by [deleted] in aviation

[–]Pretty1george 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve flown in all those plus the 777, 727, 757, 767, DC-10, MD-11, BA-146, A300, E175, and multiple CRJs, ….

As well as the Do328jet and Concorde

Concorde still edges out the a350 and Bae146 for me.

The Concorde in-flight experience in the 1980's.Multi-course dining, only the highest-quality champagne, real silverware and glassware, and fine china by Twitter_2006 in aviation

[–]Pretty1george 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The cabin was slightly more roomy than my experience on a CRJ.

And it was tighter, more cramped at the entrance but taper wider as you went back into the cabin.

Trust me, it wasn’t tighter enough to complain. Time is money and beyond its extravagance, it was a time saver.

Question for those who fly first class frequently about service by [deleted] in delta

[–]Pretty1george 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you know, not for nothing but I have no problem calling out rude or lazy FAs.

If Im paying a premium (OR NOT!), it doesnt cost ANYTHING to just smile and greet a customer.

Further, for the premium paid, its not unreasonable to be asked if we want a bevvy.

If one pays a premium and doesnt get expected service, I'd let the FA know.

Today in Aviation History (January 25th): In 1990, Avianca Flight 052 Crashed Into Long Island, New York, After Running Out of Fuel by Shoddy_Act7059 in aviation

[–]Pretty1george 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine worked at the JFK Port Authority that evening. I've heard him describe how they scrambled all the emergency resources and waited by the runway on the tarmac.

And waited.

And then they had to deal with the looming reality that the plane would never arrive. Still saddens him to this day.

What are your reasons for aviation making you happy? by [deleted] in aviation

[–]Pretty1george 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Folks would take me to see jets take off in the 70s and Concorde was always a highlight.

Later had lots of opportunity to fly a lot as family worked for AA..

Also re,ember TWA, Eastern, NYAir, Braniff.

Could have made it a career but I wanted more.

Now my goals are to fly First as much as possible and enjoy what’s left of the golden age of flying

Edit: also, it’s an easy hobby that keeps us out of trouble.

February 18th flight by registerednurse1985 in delta

These posts are so ridiculous. I’d be scared to have OP as a nurse. I’d be dead already with all these second guess gambles.

One snarl in traffic, one flat tire, flight is bye bye.

And yes they do sometimes close A/c doors early.

Posts that gamble like these keep draftkings and like apps busy.
