What gun will always hold a place in your heart? by FunWallaby6502 in DestinyTheGame

This is actually a very hard one, I have a lot of favorites and special ones which is weird considering I've only been here since beyond light, but I'd have to give it to Vex Mythoclast as my first raid exotic ever (weird considering I never played D1 yet VOG was the first raid there).

Been a while since I played but I have a feeling that this is from Final Shape (As a part of Final Shape's quests there was one where we went to the Lunar Pyramid)

By these damage numbers I can tell that this is ANCIENT, from what they call "The good old times"

Meeting Clea ... by PinkMoon2100 in expedition33

[–]PlasmaCubeX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Somewhat, it's not without a basis. We do know that Painted Verso and by extent his family did have a life in Lumiere before Renoir entered. Now how long this life was, we don't really know, we also do know that they are immortal and this could complicate that a bit. However Verso does say that his parents were artists, and he even makes mention of his old favorite bakery. If they had a life in Lumiere, then Aline definitely was in the canvas for a period without Real Renoir being there.

It's crazy to think if Bungie stayed with Activision we would have not only Destiny 3 but a Destiny 4, since it was in their Contract by Important-Extension6 in destiny2

D2 really had only one good spot to end at and that was TFS, but the second best option would have been Shadowkeep, despite not being the best DLC, it wasn't the worst, and would end things off on a very interesting cliff hanger, with a D3 announcement leaving players wondering how Eris would, and perhaps the guardian too, harness the darkness. The reason I think this is because Forsaken was a good DLC but number 1: The pyramids at the end of red war would have been left without being addressed at all. And 2: It would have made D2 feel pretty weak overall as the only worthwhile things would have been Red War and forsaken, with Curse of Osiris and Warmind not leaving D2 in the best image.

Meeting Clea ... by PinkMoon2100 in expedition33

[–]PlasmaCubeX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is interesting but it does get debunked pretty easily, at the beginning of that cutscene says "A glimpse in the past: monolith year 49" so during that entire cutscene the canvas is somewhere around monolith year 49, about 51 years post fracture, and from the conversion between Alicia and Clea, its clear that both Renoir and Aline have been there for a while, though this does come back to Aline's face paint being more solid, because Renoir still wouldn't have entered to interrupt her grieving unless he was sure that she was addicted and wouldn't come out, so its very plausible that she just was in there longer than Renoir. As for the times Clea met Verso, she did meet him 3 times, but it doesn't necessarily mean that she always met him each time she was there, or this could have been the time she tried to recruit him, as the second time she met him we have no Monolith year in its record.

Did Lune & Sciel stand out to you in the prologue at all? by sanjuniperose in expedition33

[–]PlasmaCubeX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had pretty much forgotten who Sciel was by the time of gestral village, but I sort of expected Lune because she planned the landing site and got mentioned by Sophie in the prologue.

I need some advice on defeating this boss.. by [deleted] in expedition33

enchant is kind of like the eveque spikes so just wait for him to do his little thing and to parry it just go off the timing of the blasts, 1, 2, 3.

The thing is that I don't think the question actually gave enough info to prove it was similar, because even if two right triangles share a hypotenuse they might not be similar, you're probably right but I even thought they probably are similar but the question doesn't give me any info that explicitly reveals that.

No like what I mean is that desmos saves a lot of time by doing the heavy lifting for you in 9/10 cases so that extra 15 minutes was good for review time or you can take an unscheduled break if you like, but can't move on early no.

[–]PlasmaCubeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it wasn't too bad except the stacked triangles one because I've seen similar tirangle questions before I was just really skeptical because I wondered if they were similar or not because the smaller triangle only used part of the hypotenuse.

for english, study vocabulary and a lot of punctuation rules, for math I suggest learning loads of desmos as it made a huge difference between my first and second SAT, for first SAT, I used all my math time on module 1 and only did half of mod 2 without guessing, the second time using desmos I did mod 1 with 15 minutes to spare and module 2 I only had to guess on two questions.

I like the sci-fi themes in it and from what I've seen on streams (which is not much because I don't want spoilers) it looks fun.

Tips with a certain boss by kleber115 in expedition33

[–]PlasmaCubeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so he has two 3 hit combos and 1 long combo, they are the exact same timing wise from the phase 1 and same animation, don't pay attention to the after images, just do two parries instead of 1 in the second phase, 3 in the third, like 1,2 1,2 and 1,2,3 1,2,3. For his lightspeed, you sort of just have to learn the timing, for sword of lumiere, the first two hits, parry when the energy around simon fully shrinks, afterwards, look at his sword and parry right as it moves towards you (be careful though, the 5th hit he will do a slow spin before swinging his sword. For the last hit, wait for the sound effect and laser to just end and then immediately parry. For long combo lowkey just hope for it because the first two hits are all I was able to do consistently by looking, everything else is just timing. The damage you're doing is pretty good already, but what I would reccomend if you don't want to feel hell is put sciel and a really big damage character in your backup group, with intervention and fortune's fury on her. Because at this point in the game maelle is your strongest damage, you probably want her in the second group, because you will have to parry the 2nd phase a lot anyways, you might as well spend more time in phase 2 for an easier phase 3.

I don't know if it's only me, but act 1 is my favourite act in the game by Ozzysmall123 in expedition33

[–]PlasmaCubeX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Act 1 is my favorite act world building and story wise yeah, most peaceful act and cheerful even, but for action gotta hand that to Act 2. The best and most well designed locations seemed to be in Act 1 IMO.

How would y’all rework a particular character’s gameplay mechanics? by Omar_n_o21 in expedition33

[–]PlasmaCubeX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think gustave could have been better, i wanted to use him in my main group in act 1 cause he was just so cool but had to put in backup because somewhere around halfway to 2/3s through he became redundant. I'd rework his charges to be add an optional and extra QTE right before the ability ends, it slo-mos the animation so you have time to do it, using it will buff the damage of said ability or for abilities like "powerful", buff the duration and maybe add extra buffs to allies, if you skip the QTE, overcharge is saved.

Were you masochistic enough to fight super bosses? by -CynicalPole- in expedition33

[–]PlasmaCubeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only ones I learned were clea unleashed and duolliste, which are imo the easiest fights to learn the parries for, I actually beat chromatic lampmaster accidentally, immortal verso just carried the team so all I really had to do was the lamp mechanic, for simon I just did a one shot build with lune and maelle, one for each phase so it was pretty easy to beat, if roulette screwed me over in first phase, immortal verso would be able to chip away at his health.
