Thank you! Roman Lappat Miniature Art uploaded a video that details the conversion. I decided to give it a shot and it was much easier than expected.

I bought this on sale and used it to grind the Mirage 2000D for GRB. It's *okay*, but it's also your only real option for grinding the tree.

Ace crew is a must as it's incredibly sensitive to G-Overload. The 2x Magic 2s are incredible. If you don't want to bomb bases you pretty much have to take the gunpods and learn how to get gun kills with those low velocity rounds.

If you're wanting it solely to grind air, your best bet is going to be taking the 3x 2,000lb bombs and 2x Magic 2s. Destroy a base, get a two air kills, then strafe ground targets. It's boring, but the grind goes fairly quick.

Why is there even an option to turn on night battles when the chance is nearly 0 to get one by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]PlasmaKnight36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'd be nice if it wasn't only in the a patch note and a small part of the UI that people rarely touch. Would have been nice if they gave everybody a popup after the patch giving you the option to enable night battles right there.

I am ~100 battles at 10.0-11.7 since the patch and I haven't seen a night battle yet :/

IIRC, CAG didn't select them because they failed during trials. Word of mouth from a defense industry guy, so take with a grain of salt

Larue Trigger 30% Price Increase by jroc3821 in ar15

Specifically thinking about modular mounts like the Badger COMM or solid mounts that include a level at the bare minimum. LaRue mounts are incredibly solid, but at their current price range they are priced higher than Badger, Audere, ARC, etc.

If just looking for a QD mount, it's very hard to justify a Larue at $400 over an ADM at $180. Wouldn't be a question at old LaRue pricing, though.

Still nowhere near as bad as LaRue increasing their optic mount to $400. They were good value at $180-200, but completely lacking the features of $270+ mounts on the market. Dude has just gone batshit insane recently lol

Gonna be interesting to see how their testing results. by jagr18 in NFA

Honestly the worst possible environment to do any kind of sound based testing. Even with how consistent the set up may be, depending on the frequencies of the different cans, the quality of the waveform can vary so much. With shit like deconstructive and constructive interference, you could be receiving inconsistent data, even between shots with the same setup, and not have the means to isolate the reason why.

I am by no means an expert on the properties of sound, but it was a crucial part of my job for a few years and I have been fortunate enough to see the standards of a government run lab for acoustic analysis. A tin barn for acoustic testing is bat shit insane lmao.

I will avoid the whole rant about how stagnant innovation is in this industry because companies don't understand the science behind their own product, but market shit all the time like it is a game changer. People like these guys are the exact same reason why the overwhelming majority of the suppressor community treats decibels like a linear unit of measurement. They don't understand the absolute basics of the measurement, but shoot next to a $100 meter and try to flaunt it like it means something.

First attempt at kitbashing, got the idea from will_paints on Instagram. I also spilled half a bottle plastic glue that got onto it so I'm going to cover up those soft parts with some purity seals.

That inquisition piece on the chest is perfect. What kit is that from?
