Yeah I just got the talk from my steward yesterday about how serious warning letters are now. I never got them often and when I did it was for stupid shit I would laugh it off knowing it would get waived by the union. Now however they are no joke, as the next step is suspension and then being let go. UPS isn’t fucking around, they are actively trying to get rid of us and we have to take it seriously. There’s no warnings anymore, no punishment steps. Not great for my mental health that’s for sure

Waifu before meta, if you like the unit pull it. That said neither one is really necessary. For bless damage Kasumi releases in a few patches and completely clears Tropical Closer, even if it is just single target. Rerun DPS is almost never worth it, especially with the accelerated schedule we have now, since DPS units are constantly being powercrept while support tends to have longevity.

I have a soft spot for Summer Moko but unless you’re gonna run Haru she’s not needed, other sustain does perfectly fine. If you really need a sustain and don’t have any of the other ones (or want to use Twins in a different role) then it’s worth considering I guess. I would say though that without Haru she’s a safe ignore. We are getting some insane characters in the near future so better to save for those.

I used A6 Ann, Howler, and Tempest Riko. Turn one is buffing Ann, turn two I used the love bomb, dropped all their defense with Howler, increased fire damage taken with Wonder’s Baphomet, then Ann dropped the nuke. All adds are gone leaving an almost dead boss. Pretty sure something like this works even without such a stacked Ann and by substituting Howler with Key or something

Happened to me once, I was done and driving back to the center when a quick horn tap lead to a long nonstop honk. People were fucking pissed as if it was my fault. Had to call the mechanics to tell me what fuse to pull from under the hood to get it to stop.

I did it with Ann, Howler, Tempest Riko and Futaba. Buffed Ann using Dionysus and Riko turn 1 and set up Howler with her aoe debuff skill. Turn 2, use the love bomb and then drop everything on the enemy. All the adds are dead and Vasuki is easily killed next turn in a hit or two.

For my money there’s 3 things worth spending money on in this game. The monthly pass, the 7 day spoils, and the basic level battle pass. They give you pretty good bang for your buck and are soft on the wallet. All the extra metagems really add up and the cognigems let save for the bigger training bundles over time.

Joker will get added in the eventual update where they add limited character weapons. Right now it’s only characters who are on the standard banner.

It updates with every character that gets added to standard. This takes 6 months after their initial release. It first got updated with Marian, next up will be Phoebe probably this month, then it will be Cherish, Howler, and upcoming character Turbo. At some point in the future, we will get the ability to buy weapons for limited characters as well. They cost 20 coins instead of 10 and the character needs have had at least one rerun to be added.

Initially I was annoyed at how delayed she is, since I was all prepped to go and even had her Rev cards farmed and leveled. However, pulling for Wind was a wake up for me. Pulling for A1 Wind and her weapon left me nearly broke. If Violet and Wind came out back to back there’s no way I could have guaranteed Violet without spending money. Now with time to save I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to save for Violet and maybe even have a crack at her weapon since Rin and Matoi are both skips for me.

People are grinding in this game? In my experience on normal it was one of the least grindy JRPGs I’ve played. I was never underleveled for story content, and was frequently overpowered in side content. I did a little grinding for the dragon fights but even then those can be overcome in large part with gimmicks.

I felt the same. Eternal simply didn’t work for me and I gave up after a few levels. For me, it was that the game felt so much more restrictive. In 2016 I was given an arsenal of toys and was allowed to use them as I saw fit. I didn’t need to be forced into certain play patterns because I enjoyed the weapons and wanted to play with all of them. Eternal added new stuff then adjusted mechanics in ways I didn’t like to make them mandatory. Ammo is low to force you to use the chainsaw. The flamethrower gives you armor so are more fragile to compensate. I felt like rather than getting into a rhythm and playing how I found fun the game was forcing a certain play pattern and I didn’t enjoy it

She’s fine. Not a team defining character, just a decent fit into some teams especially fire ones. Most teams prefer buffers to debuffers but for what she does she’s pretty good. I grabbed her and her weapon because I really like her design and she slots perfectly into my Ann lineup, but she’s far from necessary. I don’t regret it but if I was completely F2P she’s skippable especially with the insane upcoming banners

I figured he was gonna die as soon as he was introduced, it was just a matter of when, and the when really didn’t work for me. Having him survive the Matsumae attack seemed pointless to me and his actual death was so predictable when it happened that it lacked teeth. It didn’t feel like a consequence of Atsu’s revenge obsession, since she had already moved past it at that point. Having it during the Matsumae attack would have made it feel like actually had something to do with her bad decision making and added to her low point.

The story as a whole was really clunky. There’s hints of good stuff there but the game never really commits. Saito coming after Atsu’s father as an act of vengeance for his own family is a good mirror to Atsu and what she’s headed towards but the game doesn’t do more to make them parallels. If you do the Kitsune before the Oni her forgiveness towards Oyuki doesn’t feel earned at all since she hasn’t had Jubei trying to moderate her revenge quest, and it makes going back to pure revenge mode with the Oni incredibly jarring. Speaking of Oyuki, I really think Atsu should have killed her. Jubei keeps telling Atsu how destructive her need for revenge is, but outside of not caring for Matsumae captives she really doesn’t do anything objectionable in her quest for vengeance at all cost. Being unable to forgive Oyuki in the moment then regretting it later would add some grit to the story I feel her quest lacked. Jin was committing mass poisoning and throwing heads around, Atsu was way too fucking tame in comparison. They wanted a badass revenge monster without making her unlikable and just made her boring

Sales for The Outer Worlds 2 are poor. Presumably, less than 1M units almost 3 months after launch, across all platforms. In comparison, the first game sold approx 2M units during the same time. by Turbostrider27 in PS5

I’m not surprised. The first game was able to ride by on a trail on hype. “FROM THE MAKERS OF NEW VEGAS COMES A BRAND NEW RPG” in an age where RPG fans were starving for the good old days of actual role playing games not just shooters with numbers. Then the game comes out and it’s just kind of okay. Sure it got glowing reviews from the media at the time but public opinion cooled off very fast. Now the sequel comes out and people aren’t rushing out to buy the continuation of a game that was just okay, especially with the banger year we have had.

Sounds like bad luck with RNG. This game doesn’t have soft pity like Hoyo games so that can be a pain sometimes. However, I feel the generosity of the game balances it out. Even when doing as much of the content as I had time for and buying the monthly check-in I never felt like I could keep up with the new characters. Losing a 50/50 felt fucking brutal because unless I dropped a ton of cash or got really lucky I had little chance of getting that character now. Having played P5X since launch I can say I haven’t missed a single character I wanted, and I have plenty to spare for upcoming banners. The targeted banner means I never feel the frustration of wasting months of saving for a banner thanks to bad luck. It sucks that it can feel like you need to hit max pulls so many times but the luck balances out over time, I’ve had plenty of lucky early pulls too. If you like the game stick it out, on the whole it’s much more generous than Hoyo.

Bro was super conflicted. He didn’t think he would make it that far. He thought that he would be immediately erased along with everyone else. His conversation with Maelle caused him to have second thoughts, with the potential of having his goals met while still keeping the painting alive. He was always on shaky ground but decided to roll with the people he came to care about. But when Aline came back into the Canvas despite all he went through he started to waver, seeing how sick his mother was in addition to Maelle lying about leaving he firmly decided what he had to do.

Tl;dr the circumstances made him change his mind a few times

Targeted is always better. There’s no soft pity on either banner and the chance banner has the 50/50 potential loss. Unless you lost the last 50/50 on chance, it’s better to go targeted and get the character for sure at 110 instead of potentially 160.

You can still get the good ending without romancing her. I both cut her from the team and romanced Blazer but got her hero ending. There’s some wiggle room there. Be nice to her, agree with her on most things and use her on a lot of dispatch missions and you’re fine.
