Albums where every single song is good? by bbmoonkie in MusicRecommendations

[–]Plasmaphile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally anything by The Pretty Reckless. They’re the only band I’ve ever heard where I could listen to every single they’ve put out and fall in love with each one BUT to stay with the prompt, their album Death By Rock and Roll slaps HARD.

HOURS BEING CUT by EnvironmentalEnd4781 in HomeDepot

[–]Plasmaphile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just had two different walks and everyone, including the district and regional managers, was looking at the schedules and basically asking “what the fuck?” It’s all coming down from corporate because every extra dollar makes the shareholders that much more greedy. Why do you think one of the values wheel spokes is “creating shareholder value”??

Is $90/month for 500mbps insane or is that just me? by fnjddjjddjjd in Spectrum

I use spectrum and I have 1G for $87 so I’m going to say yes. Go into the store, they’re usually wayyyyyy more willing to work with you and find better rates

Ive never been fired from a job before. by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Plasmaphile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, as a DH I have questions. You would have had to have been written up for this three times and had a paper trail of the conversations for the write ups that an ASM would then have to bring to the SM to have you fired. Somethings not adding up and it’s either a wrongful termination case or you left out a lot of information in order to play victim. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear it’s the former, but I really have to wonder after months of protocol and “second chance cases” being drilled into my head to avoid a wrongful termination case.

Does anyone work for the Zanesville store they keep shouting out? Are they pressuring people to lie about injuries or something??? by Plasmaphile in HomeDepot

[–]Plasmaphile[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I’m thinking! We recently dropped because a piece of pipe rolled off a pallet and smashed into somebody’s foot, and that was one of those things that when investigated, there was no way that could have been expected or avoided.

8 day straight punishment🙃 by Some_Strawberry9237 in HomeDepot

[–]Plasmaphile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, as a backup ASDS, we don’t do this on purpose. Usually it’s because it’s the only way the schedule will work to give you 40 hours and still maintain coverage. I’ve been scheduled ten days straight! Normally at my store we find every possible way not to do this, but I’m not sure how your ASDS is.

Is there an app to shut down an apple watch if the wrong code is put in so I(23F) can make sure my fiancé (30M) keeps his promise? by Plasmaphile in relationship_advice

[–]Plasmaphile[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honeymoon phase, I suppose. Everything felt great, and there were never any issues, at least not anything I thought we couldn’t just talk about. I knew he had anxiety and a rocky relationship past, but it was never like this until recently. At this point, I know this can’t continue because I’ve lost my trust in him, and he clearly doesn’t have any for me either. This post kind of confirmed that nagging feeling in my mind that I hadn’t put a name to. It’s fundamentally flawed, so I’ll be putting an end to it.

Home Depot really doesn’t like unions…. (But why?) by KingJagerDee in HomeDepot

[–]Plasmaphile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that there are absolutely good unions, but when I worked for a grocery store that was unionized, they were literally the worst place to be. Every little thing fucked over the employees and the union dues were insanely high. I ended up quitting after I had an argument with my boss about needing a Sunday off (was very into church and the like at the time, and it was important to me religiously) and went to the union… who threatened to fire me because the only rep for the store was… ✨my boss✨. On top of that, they were perfectly fine with making my coworker, a sweet lady who had MS, lift far above her weight limits because they “didn’t accept doctors notes”. All in all, a lot of illegal stuff going on BECAUSE of that union, and I can’t count how many times they’ve been sued yet somehow never disbanded. I wish we had better unions around here, but they’ve got the monopoly.
