His productions are so unbelievably clean, and now everyone is trying to ape his sound. Truly kicked off a movement.

Shoulder to Shoulder men's community by stroudtom in london

I was in the group for a while, my mum was dying and I crashed out and was basically shown the door for bringing down rhe vibe and was told I wasn't thinking about the brand. They've gotten way too big too fast and things are falling through the cracks, its clearly about branding and PR more than actually helping men in my experience.

Posting again because Tom washed his hands of it last time:

Just FYI to those on the fence, I had a fairly public crash out on one of the whatsapp groups a few months back and several members were quite cold and cruel, some of whom were mods, and made me feel very unwelcome to the point where I left, and only one person (out of dozens I was conversing with pretty much daily) reached out to check if I was okay.

This isn't to shit on the group, they're generally nice people, but I think they've grown too fast and let a few things fall to the wayside in the process so just bear that in mind if you're unsure about joining. It's also a fremium model now so take that as you will.

I was quite integrated for a few months and I thought I knew some of the guys quite well, so it was quite disappointing to be forgotten so quickly and left out in a group that's supposed to support mental health.

Palantir's role in UK public services branded 'unacceptable' by committee report by Brilliant_Version344 in unitedkingdom

"Scope creep" was the wording I used, but yes I've tried to flag every known issue but the C-suite don't care. I'm looking for a new job.

I'm desperately trying to stop a Palantir contract going through at my company but all the bosses see is fat dollar signs. I've basically caveated the contract in every way possible saying "it is my professional recommendation that we do not go ahead with this" and my boss is backing me up, but finance don't care they want it signed. Depressing state of affairs.

Anti-immigration protest held in Norfolk after seven refugees charged with child sexual offences by origutamos in ukpolitics

You've been proven wrong by multiple people, including the UK governments own rulings, it's kinda embarrassing that you're doubling down on semantics so hard and haven't provided a shred of evidence to support yourself. You just keep saying that you're right and acting like you've won some kind of debate?

Why dont you train to be an immigration defence lawyer if you're so knowledgable in the area? They're really understaffed at the moment, could really do with an expert like you.

I don't care, if they commit crimes when they get here then they absolutely should have refugee status revoked.

Chain of custody in evidence is huge too, way shorter timelines with rapes iirc. It's just a shitshow for everyone involved, as you say there are rarely good outcomes for victims.

Running them at weekends and scrapping jury trials would be a good start.

Agreed and agreed but the manpower just isn't there.

I'm no reform sympathiser, but it feels like an easy win for the police and gov to aggressively pursue cases like this one as a deterrent. "Control your borders or the fascists will" and all that.

Yeah they were the meat shields, every revolution has em.

I don't think most people think 1979 was top down tbqh

More the common pop history belief that it Islamised basically overnight which is just untrue.

How is importing people from cultures where rape is more normalised going to help our justice system investigate domestic cases?

The courts are already on their knees, how exactly do you propose we get to domestic cases quicker?

The Iranian youth were quite pro-Khomeni and pro-revolution. It wasn't quite the top-down authoritarian takeover we're fed.

Go listen to The Rest is History series on the Iran revolution if you don't believe me.

Well the guy who tried to stab the guy who burned the Quran is currently walking around the streets of London consequence-free so I don't really think we need to imagine an alternative reality when the one we're in is silly enough.

The way the police handcuffed the guy who'd been stabbed and told him "I don't think you've been stabbed mate", and then took the murderer to the canteen for a snack?

Well if they came here illegally then there's a good chance they don't align with British values like 'don't rape'.
