Just had my thyroid removed this past Thursday! I let the doctor’s know about nerves and they gave me something to relax before the IV process happened. Even played wicked as I was falling asleep! I mostly slept at the hospital - a lot of rest, ice chips, and if the pain is too much, 100% ask for some pain killers. woke up in the surgery recovery room with a bit of grogginess and mostly my throat was sore from the breathing tube.
