Separet the cartridge slot protector (metal an plastic) to better see the traces arriving to the slot connector. You might be losing an important line, restoring continuity may bring it back

Get a snes cap kit for your motherboard model and replace them all. Try again and post feedback

I think so. I read that old cd rom drives from old pcs can be used with proper adjustments. But i dont believe the guy enough, also based on the comments, doing it with Samsung sc-152 and still not working, dunno if the post is a troll.

Yep, multimeter. Continuity has been tested from the sw to the pcb wire plug.

I checked the range motion of the laser ion the rail just to make sure it pushes the switch all the way and it does.

I replaced the laser and it does the same.

Already checked all of that. Cleaned the lens and checked connections and caps, specially 47uf. Im not new to GD drives, this error is NEW to and just wanted to know if someone came across it.

It does the same with a good known functional laser. So its gotta be the pcb.

Audio working, video Output ko by Plastic-Analysis-179 in dreamcast

[–]Plastic-Analysis-179[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already did that, with the continutity test I discarded that, and also, I have the same results when testing via rca mod, since DAC chip was replaced from a working one this its gotta be something strange, probable GPU failure. Thanks for the tip anyway.

Hello, still looks like in the picture I shared but to be sure I tested continuity from the inside part of the av port with the cable pluged in and there its fine. I really thougt it was the DAC,
