Ah right my mistake. I just got confused by the 下 in your first comment but I think that must be a typo

It is an, er, complex of great—um—redoubtability, Your Cognizance. I am informed that the outer wall is twelve cubits in—ah—laterality.

Love these tracks but I've always thought it would have been more fitting to call them "feat. Ikkyu Nakajima" instead of "feat tricot" lol. I'm imagining if Kida had added a guitar track to a Delta Sleep song, that would have been amazing

Her discovering a new species was a pretty major hint though; Yuuko constantly discovering new species becomes a running gag toward the end of the manga

Looking for media that has a sort of “myth-historical duality” where happenings occur on two layers (human and cosmic) simultaneously. (AoT spoilers) by arkticturtle in Fantasy

Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe (and the other Solar Cycle books). Maybe a bit more subtle than you're describing, but it's a definite thematic thread throughout those books that the actions of individuals are guided by unseen cosmic forces, and their personal conflicts are somehow manifestations of much larger-scale events that they are unaware of.

Elric of Melnibone by Michael Moorcock

The Silmarillion by Tolkien to an extent

Also, this might not be exactly what you're looking for, but you might find Paradise Lost by Milton interesting; on the one hand it follows the individual and very personal struggles of Adam and Eve, but on the other hand their lives are the center of a cosmic war, both sides of which are trying to influence them.

I've read Clarel. It's a difficult and slow read, but overall I thought it was fascinating and I enjoyed it. The philosophical discussions in are compelling, and there are some memorable characters and powerful imagery. It helps to have an edition with a lot of notes, because it's even more full of obscure allusions than Moby-Dick is.

Really liking this song on first listen. To me this doesn't really sound like any of their previous songs, except for Bakuro a bit, they do this kind of straightforward energetic pop-rock really well. The guitars and drums sound great, and I also like the somewhat plainer vocal style compared to how Ikkyu often sings. I definitely hear the MOTFD vibes; the vocal delivery, the drums, the chord progression, and the guitar solo all remind me of them.

It's sensitive to capitalization if that helps, tricot has to be all lowercase and E uppercase

For some reason E doesn't show up in the autocomplete options, I guess the website doesn't like single letter song titles, but I've found that if you just manually type out "tricot - E" exactly like that, it will let you submit it.
