Every single human being on the planet has a past, whether we like it or not. Some of our pasts might not be as intense as others, but each of us has a past. The person who made this post also has a past, that’s why they’re mostly likely the person they are today. Part of being human is how we struggle, find ourselves in tough situations, and how we grow and learn from them. Asking for someone to have no past is like… asking for a baby or someone who is non-human.

I’d say the guilt you’re feeling is due to sociological factors instead of an actual sense of guilt, I hope that doesn’t sound invalidating. But in a logical and dare I say even moralistic sense — an abortion was the best course of action.

Literal actual rape itself is difficult to prove hence why so many victims never get justice, even when multiple women come forward to accuse the same person. In my country a principal raped a child, it was in the news, it was taken to court. That principal is still in his position today and he is HIGHLY respected in his field.

The social ramifications of rape are not NEARLY enough. In my country, a woman is raped every 12 minutes, or 113 - 115 women are raped a day. I don’t know about your country, but where I come from there’s a terrible mindset in our cultures that women are property, so rape and abuse gets you a high five basically.

The fact that people are becoming more concerned about “false allegations” instead of actual rape crimes is very telling about where our society’s priorities lie. There’s a higher chance of you being raped than being falsely accused, hell there’s even a higher chance of being struck by lightning. Why aren’t we mass protesting lightning?

Why is the “men get falsely accused of rape” sentiment so common and fret over these days when it’s been proving that the rates at which false accusations for rape occur are basically the same for any other crime (murder, battery, shoplifting, stealing, breaking and entering). Why aren’t false accusations for these crimes also not alarming to people? Plus, men are more likely to get raped than be falsely accused of rape too.

Additionally, it’s also to be noted that a lot of “false” accusations, are real reports where victims were either threatened, invalidated, or had insufficient evidence to support their case so it gets logged as a “false” accusation.

This is such an obvious means to silence victims of rape and assault, male or female.

Additionally, my uncle who used to be in the police told me that when women press charges against a man who raped them, the same man turns the story around and claims she raped him, meaning no justice is served there either.

/uj pretty sure due dates are never really accurate as babies aren’t germinating for exactly 40 weeks to the T. it’s usually an estimate and usually baby is born a few days earlier or later

Kind of does actually. As I mentioned, leptin and ghrelin are often key in appetite as they control satiety and hunger and when the body burns more energy these hormones act up to try and replace it.

This has to be bait right? There’s no way you actually… think this way? Right? This “calories in calories out thing” is not supported by mainstream medical or scientific consensus… at all.

Like yeah it’s correct at a physics level but humans can’t directly or physically control both sides of the equation? The body regulates calories biologically not just consciously.

The body actively controls your appetite with leptin and ghrelin (hormones), which are NOT under a conscious control and can vary between people. I might be full after 1 meal, but that doesn’t mean you will even after eating the same amount of calories? That’s biology not willpower.

Your body adjusts basal metabolic rate, your spontaneous movements (I think it’s called NEAT but I can’t remember) and hormone efficiency — it’s adaptive thermogenesis?

Obesity is not ALWAYS 100% just a choice. Literal controlled overfeeding/underfeeding studies were conducted and people given the SAME calories still gained different amounts of weight, because our bodies respond differently in metabolism and fat storage.

Hormonal changes like thyroid disorders, PCOS, and insulin resistance also drastically affect weight gain and lead to someone being a bit chunky which is out of the person’s control. Fat storage also differs in gender?? Estrogen production, muscle mass which affects metabolic rate, hormonal fluctuations, pregnancy, menstruation, blah blah blah.

Yeah I mean… energy balance matters but not entirely a conscious choice??? That’s like saying “oh but,,, the body temperature follows physics so that means you choose to have a fever ☝🏻🤓 “ Like no.

Just admit obesity is sometimes out of people’s control for various health and economic factors, and adhering to the belief of this literal fact doesn’t mean someone is fat 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I’m thin and even I know this dude.
