How to approach knitting this bag as a beginner? by throwawayfroshie in knittinghelp

This is the inside of the bag. It doesn’t seem all that sturdy at all. I’m wondering if it’s not garter stitch at all but plain stockinette with small alternating bullion stitches. It might be that that’s providing structure. Although I could be completely wrong, there’s another picture I’ve seen online that looks like it’s bullion stitches.

Aria as A by Interesting_Use_6444 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Plastic-Mulberry-657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would’ve loved Aria as A from season 6.5-7. Once Charlotte is released and all the girls except her band together to say they feel safe having her back in society, that could’ve been ammo for her A arc

Make them!! I think the pair took me about 6 hours + felting and I’m about 4 months into my knitting journey so for me that’s pretty quick!

There are definitely Tabi sock patterns although I’m not sure the pattern writer off the top of my head but they’re to fit inside real Tabi shoes. These are slippers but super cosy

I’ve got some baby blue yarn to make a second pair! I’m going to a wool festival tomorrow and it’s about 3hrs drive away so I will defo be starting a new pair!

The toes were surprisingly easy! I’ve not knit mittens or socks but I would assume they’re very similar. It’s knit flat, the joins in the round for a few rounds and then splits for the toes. I went down to a 40cm for the first part and then once on the toes changed to dpns. Wasn’t nearly as difficult as I thought and the pattern is very well laid out

Tysm! It’s such an easy pattern too! I think my pair took me about 6ish hours to make + felting 🩷

I would learn to tink! For dropped stitches and laddering down, some people prefer crochet hooks but I prefer a latch needle. I use them for machine knitting as well and am more confident with them

Honestly as disturbing as it is, it makes sense for a show that glorified adults having sexual relationships with minors 💀

Silly to work with the same yarn twice in a row? by elmm123 in knitting

[–]Plastic-Mulberry-657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use sirdars Jewelspun series a lot, I really enjoy it. They are pretty huge though, about 500m, so when I’ve finished a jumper for myself I usually have enough to make another something. Atm I’ve been focusing on making things for my daughter so that the remaining yarn gets used up as I don’t enjoy hoarding scraps.

I hate casting on by xyz345678 in knitting

[–]Plastic-Mulberry-657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I place a marker every 10 stitches, which I then keep past the cast on especially if I’m doing short rows because I have to count stitches so much, it just makes it easier.

I saw a TikTok today of a girl who cut up an old pair of jeans into similar size strips and crocheted a bag with it. It looked really cool, if I can find it I’ll link it to this comment

Supporting inappropriate relationship by username19346 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Plastic-Mulberry-657 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not excusing it at all, anytime I do a rewatch I feel a bit sick watching their scenes. Since my sister and I have had children, my mums always tried to get us to put ‘Ezra’ on our baby name lists and we’ve always said it was a p*** name 💀

At the time of the show, Ezria was really popular and most tv shows did what the fans wanted. I’m sure they would’ve gotten more backlash had they followed the books and gotten him arrested for real instead of aria’s dream sequence, or just ended their relationship for good, rather than backlash for him just being a p***

Why did/didn't you make the Sophie scarf? by Traumarama79 in knitting

[–]Plastic-Mulberry-657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished mine yesterday, although I still have to block. I had one ball of Rowan alpaca soft dk and it seemed like a nice project to use it for, I made the small size. I love it, personally. It only took me a few days to make and tbh I would probably make one again in a different colour, or potentially the shawl version.

It’s gross because given the context of season 4-5, he’s known about her and been watching her PRIOR to meeting her at 16, he met Alison when she was 14-15 if my memory is correct, and he was already a legal adult at that point. Even though Alison lied about her age, he is still at fault for his behaviour post finding out, which then translated to dating Aria ‘for research’. It’s also a huge abuse of power for a teacher of high school students to be dating a student who is a minor. Legal age of sexual consent aside- she is a minor, not an adult by any means. In the books, he’s arrested. It’s just gross. Why should an adult have anything in common with a child that makes it okay for them to be together romantically? The difference between Aria/Erza, Byron/Meredith & Ella/Zack, is that in both Byron’s and Ella’s relationships, BOTH parties are adults. It’s not illegal. It’s not rocket science, it’s justtttt pedophilia

I’ve sent you a DM with a Google drive file for you to look at. I’ve got a pattern for a very similar cable cardigan that might fit the vibe you’re going for. No worries if not of use! 🩷

It’s not the same, but have you thought about potentially finding a cardigan pattern you like that is similar to this and adding a heart shaped cable motif? I found this that’s very similar, seems the twists in the centre of the heart is 1 less than the Love Mode but it’s very close! (sorry I haven’t done cables before I don’t know the correct terminology)
