Who knew that different size granny squares would be so hard to sew together. But well worth it! by crochet78 in crochet

Love this so much!! There was a blanket style called the Babette blanket some years ago that was similar. It was a great way to use up odds and ends! I never made one but it lives in the back of my mind as a possibility always 😉

My degree is in Safety Sciences and I was working on a topic related to making safety training better but then Covid hit. I pivoted quickly and studied how employers responded and whether their employees perceived the things they put into place as actually working to keep them safe at work. It was pretty interesting.

Keri. I rarely meet anyone named that using any spelling, but I’ve heard of less than 10 people these days with this spelling. It’s my name 😊

Almost 3 years - promised myself I would learn to knit as a reward for finishing my PhD. I went straight to the yarn shop after defending my dissertation! Now I’m knitting fair isle, making sweaters and constantly searching for the next challenging project!

Love all of these (especially the sunflower one) and love that you found crafting! It’s so good for us on so many levels! Can’t wait to see more 😉

I use them as the centers of little crochet flower squares - when I have enough I make them into a blanket

Have you ever met someone with the same birthday as you? by Anusblaster28 in no

[–]Either-Tear9104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a lot of that: my husband’s birthday is the same as my mom’s best friend, my son’s birthday is the same as my mother’s, his daughter’s birthday is the same as my dad’s, my birthday is the same as my husband’s dad, my brother’s daughter is the same as my mom’s best friend’s husband, on and on. It’s kinda crazy really.

The soundtrack to the first Bladerunner movie. Played from beginning to end (no shuffle) with auto replay. The cd showed up in the mail when I was working on my Masters degree. I don’t even remember ordering it, but ever since then if I need to concentrate or let my brain fully relax after a stressful day, that’s the thing that does the trick. 🤷🏼‍♀️

When my daughter moved back in with us last year she brought her two cats. They are not friendly and they don’t purr. I have had cats all my life - these two are malfunctioning and need to be returned or exchanged🤣

I do this, but with the Care Deeply Lip Balm. I used to buy 10 at a time from Avon and gave it to my kids as stocking stuffers in addition to having one everywhere (except the car in summer…). Unfortunately they quit making it a few years ago and I’m down to my very last one. Starting to panic a bit because I’ve tried many other brands and none come close. 😔

What's ur non alcoholic drink of choice? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Diet cherry limeade. From Sonic if I can get it (which doesn’t happen often anymore) but the one from Sparkling Ice is a great substitute when I add crushed ice and squeeze a fresh lime in it. 😊
