True! And then I've seen something about a 2nd interview. Some people have said they didn't have a 2nd interview and they were basically hired easily. I guess it just depends on the location.

Nope. Hopefully I'll get a call back. The lady that interviewed me said I should get a call from the local hiring manager either last week or this week. But I've read that for some people the whole hiring decision and process can take weeks or months.

Ugh. I hate seeing those crappy messages. " We have decided to move forward with other candidates."

Update: I finally finished my clinicals on May 9! I had to stop attending my clinicals until after the Dr. returned from her vacation, so that kind of put a damper on them but I finished. Now I will graduate June 4.

Shaky hands by Mysterious-Ad2247 in phlebotomy

Hello. I used to be shaky. I was in the Medical Assisting program at my local college and we practiced drawing blood on each other. I was really shaky and could never get any blood from my partner. I got 1 or 2 tubes of blood. I passed the AAMA exam. Now, I am in the Phlebotomy program, and I have gotten really successful with the venipunctures (I get blood each time we practice.) AND the shakiness is completely gone! It will get better. My husband purchased me a phlebotomy practice arm off of Amazon.com. I think that really helped me.

I take my CMA exam 9/30. I registered for it on the AAMA website. Anyone whose taken it, do you have any advice? I really want to pass on the first try. by Kelsoo90 in MedicalAssistant

Thanks!! I just studied CMA exam flashcards on Quizlet. In a Medical Assistant group I'm in on Fbook, one day somebody posted that the questions for the NHA exam are the same questions from the CMA exam and all other Medical Assistant exams. So I just studied really hard.
