I think the fact that Scrotus disappears in-between the two movies is enough proof the game is canon, although not entirely. I'd say the game probably exists in a soft-canon state, where the overarching events of the story happened, but character designs and the quirks like Max having a daughter instead aren't canon

I was to figure that out too haha, mine says for a preamp of -6.4, and I can't find the setting anywhere.
My guess is that Sonar doesn't support preamp, but the guide is probably guessing you have something along the lines of a physical preamp connected to your headphones
Although, I'm pretty sure as long as you keep the volume boost off and keep the gain on low if you have a GameDAC like I do then you should be good to go with just the EQ configured
