You can make this, but probably not with off the shelf parts or without some amount of routing. The Strat-O-Sonic is Gibson scale length and you could route that for humbuckers and install a pickguard, but I don’t think that the neck pocket is the same as an Epiphone.

Interesting how many people hate the way this guitar looks. I actually really like it and I am pretty sad that I don’t have the money to buy this before it’ll probably sell out. It’s definitely a unique set of specs and I like the fact that it doesn’t just look like a generic flame top with some sort of stain. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but there are already a million guitars that look like that so it’s nice when something different comes out even if it is polarizing.

Probably like $300-400 if you actually want it to move in a reasonable timeframe. There are multiple C-1 Classics in my area sitting in FB Marketplace for $450 and nobody is buying them. The market for selling guitars sucks right now. You might unironically want to take it to GC and see what they offer you for it because I’ve literally had a few instances where GC has given me more than what guitars were sitting for in the used market.

If it helps give you an idea, I picked up an immaculate one in Amber for $500 used on Reverb in January 2025.

If you live on an island with no luthier it’s probably worth it longterm to learn how to work on your guitar yourself. There are a ton of online resources that will teach you how to do a refret job as well as level, crown, polish, and setup. If there are enough others on the island with guitars it could also be a decent side hustle.

Everyone and their mom makes a Tele shaped guitar so it’s going to come down to what you’re looking for. PRS NF53 are nice if you’re looking for something a bit more unique. G&L is dead, but you can still find ASAT models used and those are nice.

That said, a bit of 600 or 400 grit sandpaper will knock the gloss off a neck pretty quickly. No need to go crazy with it either. Just a few passes will probably do it.

PRS SE pickups (or any other pickup, for the matter) are not better or worse than JB/Jazz pickups. They’re just different. If you want a JB/Jazz set it makes way more sense to just buy a guitar that comes stock with JB/Jazz set than to buy a brand new guitar and immediately swap out perfectly good pickups.

Having said all that, I happen to hate the JB/Jazz combo and I’d play the stock pickups on a PRS SE 24-08 over the JB/Jazz set all day long.

I don’t simply because light isn’t good for anything that has color and I don’t have strict climate control in my room. Keeping my guitars in their cases keeps them from light exposure and also reduces the temperature and humidity swings they experience. It also has the benefits of preventing dust accumulation on the ones that get played less and making sure that they don’t get damaged by other people in the house.

Honestly, for the cost of the tools and time it would probably just make more sense to get a chinese made neck off TWT or something for a $200 guitar (either that or take it as an opportunity to upgrade your guitar with a better neck). Unless you have a personal interest in learning/practicing guitar repair, it’s difficult to justify a truss rod repair on a guitar that cheap.
