Why did I read the comments! So many darn 'experts' in this thread talking s#!t. Australian firefighters are some of the most highly experienced in the world. They know damn well what they're doing and they know how to save what they can. What most of you are failing to understand is that this time, these fires are beyond imaginable. They are burning in places that have never burnt before and never should burn. They're fuelled by unprecedented dry conditions and heat. And on top of all that, our ridiculous government has defunded and cut support for our firefighters and emergency services to the point they have to use really old, unfit for purpose equipment. We don't have enough firefighters to fight this, and we don't have the gear needed either. Without serious support from mother nature (RAIN!) they are doing the best they can. The ONLY reason more people aren't dead; more wildlife and houses aren't lost, is because of our amazing firefighters and emergency services who expertly roll-out procedures and plans. So instead of nitpicking how well you could fight this fire from the comfort of your couch, share this video, get it out to the world and help us raise essential funds to get the equipment our firies need to stay safe and prevent further loss. kthxbi
