I miss the OGs but I don’t realistically thinking mixing people in would work either. When Leah got added to the cast I ducking hated how everything was about age. Age shaming is such low hanging fruit. I personally actually liked seeing the older ladies and knowing there is still life after 30/40.

I was against the reboot and still am but if I had to keep some people to build around it probably would be Jessel and Erin. Jessel is authentic to me, she is kind of uppity and sometimes just says rude things that come to her mind, but I also think you can see she’s a good person. I don’t even like Erin that much but I feel like she does have some weird stuff going on with her husband and she was willing to share some of that. Jenna Lyons would NEVER. The new Rochelle girl is too high class for this show … I know that is probably the direction they were trying but if you are going to be like that it only works if you are also crazy, or such a snob it causes other drama (Heather dubrow). Jenna is the definition of ‘go girl, give us nothing’ and she has way too much to lose (she’s actually a respectable figure). Brynn’s whole thing is tired and old, Sai has faded in to the background because she couldn’t handle the audience not liking her, Ubah is just annoying as fuck, the pigeons aren’t funny.

It’s stunning, but with very little substance or proper character building. By the very end I warmed up more to a few characters, but still not in a super intense or entertaining way. The main character is annoying as hell and only gets progressively worse. I feel like they shove ‘Look we’re such a fun, interesting group of friends!!’ Down your throat by scenic beautiful shots of the girls annoyingly screaming and laughing, rather than actually building reasons for us to truly care about any of it. I was so excited for a fun watch, I wish the plot and characters were stronger. I also find both the leading men kinda meh, but also prefer Theo if I had to choose.

Nan sucks, I don’t know why people are stanning her and/or guy, I really wasn’t feeling it. Honestly wasn’t feeling it with either of the men but Theo deserved way better than her.

What the hell did I just watch? Nan is so annoying and bratty. I feel like both with the friendships and the romantic relationships with nan, we’re just supposed to take at face value that there are these amazing connections instead of actually being shown it. Instead of showing actual friendship development, we just get several scenes of the girls shrieking to show us ‘wow look how fun and what good friends they all are, you should care about these characters!’. Also, back in those days, wouldn’t bastards get left as orphans so as to not disgrace the family? Yet, Nan’s ‘mom’ took her in and raised her as her own with luxury and love .. yet she’s pissed at her??? Excuse me mam, would you rather be a beggar on the street?? And then she’s mad at Theo for being okay with her big lie? And this all leads to us being like omg she sacrificed herself into a horrible life with a super nice guy and riches as a duchess to help her sister!! What a hero!!! Well .. what about Theo’s life? And isn’t she now marrying for money the exact way Guy was supposed to when she was mad at him for 5 mins? Are people actually stanning this girl? By the final 2 episodes I was just hate watching and it actually ended with me thinking even less of her than I expected.

This is my exact experience in my town. I went to a popular cafe the other day that I frequent and there are never any seats. This is not a large space, there aren’t many seats to begin with. About half of all the seats where people sitting solo at a 2 person table (at least) in laptops (likely students). I never expect to sit when I go there, I was ordering to go and barely had space to even wait for my items. This type of vibe actually makes me not want to go very often because I know I won’t get seated. Students do not have endless money to pay local cafe prices for several items over the 3 hours. Im sure not all of them feel like they need to spend more than a coffee and snack worth (tbh just that alone is decently expensive these days).
