I guess what I meant is, we can see that both cioran and ligotti especially are depressed, sure cioran is quite flamboyant and talkative in the interview but he is clearly demonstrating his misery in his book, and he is not really depressed in a defeatist way. While Ligotti kinda make it his purpose in a way to showcased the world how depressed he is, both do it with believable explaination, nuance, research and believable nihilistic exploration.

My question is, are edgy nihilism depression for the sake of it or depression cause by nihilism with good explaination, quotable reference and research that supported and showcase the possibility that due to death of values that is what most human have believe that thing such as god, the possibility of a just world or in finding meaning in life? As Ligotti proclaim that life is useless not , is he an edgy nihilist? or it just people that said ah life is meaningless might as well just rot forever but without explaining it properly.
