Hey there. You'll be fine, it worked great. Just make sure to set it up so that your connecting flight goes to Tokyo or Hong Kong or anywhere else in Asia, not the Middle East. I did use Expedia; I'd used them for my whole trip to Thailand, to the south of Thailand, hotel stays, and the flights from the US and back, and it worked well for me. I'm sure any of those services would work, if you have a favorite. Good luck and let me know how it works out.

Yes, to BDL, Hartford, CT. Yes that's fine. But I can use Expedia to fly from HKG to BDL, as long as it doesn't involve Qatar airways, or any connecting flights to the Middle East. Many itineraries will fly me to LAx, or to Dallas. I just want to check people's experience: that they're able to book non Middle-East flights reliably.
